Spo was up and down during the regular season, spectacular against Doc and Thibs, and just flat out horrible in the Finals. Not sure whether or not he's gonna cut it, and I'm not sure if we can take the risk of potentially blowing the second year.

I'd feel much more comfortable with Riles. I honestly don't think Riles loses this series.

Spo has done a great job all season and throughout the playoffs. We've had only 3 players and at no time a decent C or PG.

He did a good job all season and throughout the playoffs. Sometimes he was great (Chicago, Boston series), sometimes he was sub-par (Dallas series), but overall he did a GOOD job. I'll give him that much.

The question is, and I have been saying this all along, will Spoelstra ever be a great coach? You have to admit HIF, a great coach would have found a way to win game 2, a great coach would have realized mike bibby wasn't working out at point guard quicker in game 5, a great coach would have had more timely and better plays off the timeout. Spoelstra did not do that often this series. He was outcoached, it's ok to admit.

A half decent performance in the 4th quarters by Bron and we're champions I don't put that on Spo.

And Chalmers had good games in G4 and G5 (don't know why people are saying he was good in G6 when he was abused) but overall he isn't an upgrade on bibby who was terrible admittedly. Coach changed it in G6 and it didn't help did it? In fact if you're being honest we never looked like we could win G6 whereas we could've swept the finals in the first four games that Bibby started.

I think the TO coaching myth you perpetuate has been dispelled by cold hard facts.

I'm happy with where we got to this season, in fact I'm proud of what we accomplished and happy to be known as a Heat fan.

I'm not allocating blame but if I did then Bron would get it for the finals series - however unjust that may be.

Almost everything you said doesn't disagree with what I said. For example, notice how I said game 5 for Mike Bibby. I didn't say game 4 or 2. You don't disagree with that. Except this one statement.

The timeliness of Spoelstra's timeouts is almost always terrible. He waits until a team is on a 10-0 run before calling it, when you can sense the momentum shift after 1 turnover. Furthermore, the plays coming out of the timeout are almost always improvised bs and rarely a straight up open shot in the paint shot. That's a cold hard fact.

The timing of a timeout is always easier in hindsight. Perhaps there are many times when he hasn't called a timeout earlier and the team have played through the problem and come out the other side (PJ often doesn't call TOs to stop runs) and sometimes you wait to long - who doesn't?

I think Spo in particular and coaches in general get far too much blame - but it's easy because as fans we don't want to accept that our players can't execute and make bad decisions or mistakes. I never critisize Wade but who else can you blame for dribbling the ball of his own foot for example.

Contrary to popular opinion I don't think Spo is infallible or perfect. I just think that he does a great job, works hard and doesn't panic and that he gets blamed far too much. I don't think changing the coach last pre-season wins us the Finals.

In fact that's probably a good question for all the fire spo guys. Do you think replacing spo last July with another coach wins us the chip against the Mavs?

I don't we were a couple of poor plays short of sweeping the finals.

Pat Riley isn't coming back. He doesn't want to come back. He didn't want to have to come back in 2005. People need to realize that he's old and grind of a season wears on him too much.
