Re: Jarvis Vanardo going overseas
glad we're keeping his rights, he has a lot of room to improve on offense and in terms of agility - which is insane to say considering his shot blocking ability.

On TV i am pretty sure they said he played in the second division (D-League) of the league he is in. I don't know about him.

Yeah he plays in a very weak division. But it's like sending him to the D-league to develop. The Heat did that with Pittman, but kept him in the D-League here. There were no spots for him on the roster, so he went to Europe. It's not bad really. See what numbers he comes up with despite the competition.
Either way, I'd be worried if he wasn't having big numbers in that league. If he was putting up below average numbers then I'd be worried. He's playing like an NBA player in the Euro league, which is what we'd like to see lol.
Varnado has put up better numbers than some of the 1st round Euro picks in this year's draft have put up.
He also set a record in college for blocks. He really is a better Joel Anthony. He also does have an offensive game. He is a shot-blocking machine that can score.
30 MPG 15.4 PPG, 55.9 FG% 8.9 Rebs 1.8 steals 3.1 blocks
I think he also set an Italian record for blocks lol.
Honestly, I'd take him for the Heat bench. Also if you really want to look deep in the future, Haslem isn't getting any younger. Going to need a tough PF off the bench. Who knows how long it'll take for Haslem to recover from his injury because his injury was suppose to be season ending.
