I'm 80% sure he'll sign with us. Who knows, if he's trimmed down a lot and maintained some of the basketball talent he had in his prime could be good off the bench for us.

I would be very happy with Dalembert, but if we somehow could also get Grant Hill, that would be a huge booster in our rotation.
We were minutes alway of a game 2 victory for a probably 3 x 0 victory against Dallas last year with Lebron not playing well, MM not playing well and Joel at center.
This year we are gonna be much more focus since we lost and we know that if we play at 70% we will lost. I expect Lebron to explode in the playoffs this year.

Chalmers - Cole
Wade - MM
Lebron - Grant Hill
Bosh - Haslem
Dalembert - Joel

We are "weak" only at PG but Lebron, Wade, MM, Hill can all help bring the ball. Joel is not that good but, we play small a lot with Bosh at 5, so ...

trade miller to get your center... Amnesty Joel and pick up two vet wings...

I think its a better deal than just using amnesty on miller who we already got at a discount and still having to pay part of his salary just to be able to use all of our exceptions. (MLE, Biennial). Joel is on the books for as long as Miller only makes a little over a million less, and is less of a trade asset.

Get rid of both contracts and get our center. Joel is replaceable by Varnado for cheaper. We can always pick up a couple of wings to play behind lebron and wade.

Why would Sacremento do a sign and trade for 4 more years of an injury prone mike miller (that they know we are about to amnesty anyway)? They would get better offers from almost literally everyone. They would be better off letting Dalembert walk than trading him for Miller. Miller's contract is a negative value in trades because of it length, especially with the new CBA.

It looks like we are going to have to amnesty Miller. If you count the minimum salary cap holds, the rookie, chalmers new deal, possibly bringing jones back, the guaranteed money we owe to guys not on our team anymore but still on our cap and the MLE I don't think we'd be able to make it even with the 4 mil "apron". It would let us use the smaller exception too.

- Miller's contract was discounted. It seems inflated because his glass ass was broken all season, but even with two left thumbs, he still proved valuable rebounding. When his hands are fine, he's a good playmaker and shooter. He's also really scrappy. If we didn't have the issue with the MLE cap, I would prefer we keep him. I see nothing wrong with Miller or his contract, and think he should be tradeable.

- I don't think we can cut House. He had a player option on his contract, which I assume means it's guaranteed unless he exercises it. PEACE.

If it's true that Miller needs to go to get us a legit center then so be it. If he looked like trash in the off season, I think someone said this, then amnesty him and don't look back. Whatever he gave the Heat last season sure as hell wasn't worth 4-5 mil.
