Mike Miller's hernia injury time table

Mike Miller played in the charity basketball game last month in november on the 11th and said he was feeling "fine"

so he has hernia surgery on Tuesday...

and he claims he don't know how he got his injury.

Sports hernias occur from constant twisting and weakening of the abominable walls.

Sports hernias can occur at anytime, you really can't spot the incidence of the injury like spraining an ankle, but you can spot the injury with pain in the groin, pain when coughing or sneezing or sitting up.

From the timing of the surgery and the timing of the charity game.... Mike Miller got injured playing that charity game. If he was injured any other time, he would've noticed it and had the surgery during the lock out.

Its funny how some are angry at miller as if he injured himself on purpose. Yet many were happy about the idea of adding Greg Oden LOL.

Miller got injured at a charity game

Miller is super injury prone.

and Greg Oden is waaaaaaaay better than Mike Miller.

Oden is 7 foot and when he has played was a defensive monster playing 25 mins a game.

LOL where did you get that Miller messed up his hernia at a charity game. And hernia injuries normally are due to straining when working out. Very unlikely during an charity all-star game lol.

LMAO Greg is way better than Miller?
If Miller is injury prone, Oden is damage goods.

Mike Miller is more damaged goods than Greg Oden is 23, if Portland was smart, they would sit him out for this season and let him play next season.

Greg Oden can sit out 2 more years, and get even more ready to play basketball.

Greg Oden is first 2 seasons are more productive than Mike Millers last 4.

And Mike Miller did get injured at the charity game, because he was fine at the charity game, then all of a sudden, he gets injured and doesn't know when it happened.

It's different, if he was like well I was training during the off season and injured myself.

And look Haslem says....

"He said he was working out and got a little pain," Haslem said, with Miller not in attendance at Thursday's session. "He said he didn't think it was that serious. I guess it ended being a lot more serious than what he thought it would be."

Charity game was Nov 11th.

"It had been bothering me for a while, so I decided to have it checked out," he said. "They said I tore the abdominal muscle off the pelvic bone."

He went on to surgery on Tuesday, the 29th of November or on Sunday. So yeah, he probably aggravated himself at the charity game, just realized it between that timespan with the workouts.

Or what's even worse he could've been injured all along and just now realized it.

Miller said he would not be surprised if the Heat invoked the amnesty clause with his contract.

"It's a business. I understood that long before all of this," he said.

And player go hard during charity games and exhibition matches, they just don't play defense. lmao

That's more because of upside.

If Oden hits his potential you have an elite rebounder and defender (exactly what our team needs)

If Miller hits his potential, he's Mike Miller.

And I don't think anyone thinks he hurt himself on purpose.

I would trade a completely healthy Miller for Oden even if Oden was out for the whole year. Portland still wouldn't do that trade.

lol millers injuries is not even close to as bad as greg oden's injuries lol.u gotta be dumb if you think the injuries are comparable. Odens injury is a chronic one, which u never want see, shaun livingston like.

Either your out of touch about Oden's injuries or just doesnt understand the problem he has. Oden chronic problem is closer to Yao Mings than it is Mike Miller. Miller injuries are not even serious.

The reason Portland is keeping hope is because the lack of centers in the league in general and they at this point have nothing to lose.

And again just because he played in charity game doesnt mean he got hurt there. You just trying to paint a bad picture. Hernia injuries are usually cause when straining very hard, which is commonly cause when lifting weights, not from running or bending over naturally. Your more likely to develope a hernia problem taking a crap, than playing a game of basketball.

I just want to see the lineup of Lebron/Wade/Miller/Haslem/Bosh for extended periods this season becasue that lineup is amazing and in the small glimpse we saw last season I would be happy to run with that all season. I think a lot of you underrate what MIller can bring to this team

That lineup was pretty incredible.

That said, I still badly want Dalembert for depth and those times we need a bit more size and a true center in there, like the whole Dallas series.

Their injuries aren't even close but their upsides aren't even close either. A healthy Oden is already better than Miller has ever been and fits our team a lot more.

I don't even know why this is even discussion, Portland would never make that exchange even if Oden was ruled out for the whole year and Miller was perfectly healthy. Oden is a lot better than Miller and has a lot more upside, that's why people were willing to roll the dice on Oden (even though there was no chance of us being able to get him)

Any lineup with Lebron/Wade/Bosh and two competent players is going to be good. There are many more "amazing" lineups we can make.

If anything a lot of people overrate what Miller can bring to this team.

The truth was the team was a lot better on offense and defense when Miller was not in the game. (109 with him per 100 possesions, 114 without; allow 111 per 100 with him in, only 103 without him)

People just like to remember 15 mins where he got some rebounds and ignore the whole season.

I'd rather have the third perimeter guy (next to wade and lebron) be able to cover pgs. Doesn't matter if he is a pg/sg/sf just that he can cover pgs if needed. Miller is a bad defender and it forces Wade or Lebron to cover the pg and/or the two best perimeter guys.

We should be able to make a better lineup this year.

There is a bunch of truth in this post.

Miller isn't that good, he's not that good, he's not that good.

And a player that can guard 1 2 3 and the opponent's best player, is 10 times more valuable than Miller shooting threes.

Thabo Selfolosha would be great here
Terrence Williams
Aaron Affalo

All better players and bring more to the table than Miller.

Miller should be traded or waived.

Thabo for Miller would be sweet.

Looks like we are going after Battier.
Wouldn't he make Miller absolutely redundant?

The plan for getting Miller besides 3-pt shooting must have been to take some pressure of Lebron and Wade, and not wanting them to log heavy minutes!

I fear that if Lebron and Wade play 2 more seasons like last year they will get burned out and lose alot of speed/athleticism!

Thats why i think Riley is looking to get Shane Battier, or atleast one of the reasons.

Updating the original story, Miller is only out 4-6 weeks, rather than the originally expected 8 weeks, after hernia surgery. I believe Udonis mentioned that he believed Miller was going to be out 8 weeks and the media ran with it, but Ira is reporting that is incorrect.

Miller said he is hopeful of being ready for the Dec. 25 season opener on the road against the Dallas Mavericks, but acknowledged it is a longshot amid a prognosis of being sidelined four to six weeks from last week's surgery.

It also looks like Miller might not be amnestied after all. Link below
