I've been one of the biggest supporters and backers of Joel Anthony however he already has hit his peak IMO and any pass to him on offense should be considered a wasted possession. With teams getting taller & longer, his effectiveness is diminished to a net disadvantage.

Same ****, different year. We need someone who can coach offense on this team. There are no more "adapting" excuses... we simply dont have an offensive system and Spo is simply lost.

No need to overreact. As noted, Meer went coast-to-coast while everyone watched. It was clear the guys stopped trying on defense towards the end of the first half. Who knows, maybe they had a tough practice that day and just wanted it to be over with. Once Pittman went down, I figured the only takeaway from last night would have been Cole's play as well as the final roster slot.

I'm not entirely sure we beat Dallas now, but I don't really care anymore. It's all about the playoffs. The regular season is merely a formality and a chance to test things out. PEACE.

1. I AM NOT IMPRESSED with the way we play BOTH offensively and defensively with the talent we have on this team.
2. I am losing faith in the system(heat culture), but I am a fan and will continue to watch.
3. These guys look average AFTER teams make adjustments to what they are doing.
4. I don't think LBJ or Dwade needs to bring the ball up when there is a PG in the game, what's the purpose.
5. Joel is a PF playing C and that's just not good in a starting role.
6. I still don't believe Eric knows how to utilize the talent we have.

There, got that out the way - won't post as much this season cause honestly, last nights game really pissed me off. That's the fan in me.

Deep breaths. It was a preseason game lol. We stopped playing at half time. And then the Magic hit like 80 percent of his shots.

Glad to see you've joined the dark side

Nah, I don't hate Joel or anything, but everytime someone would say something like "I hope he can get better on offense", or "It looks like he learned some new moves!", I'd be wondering what they were talking about. He's too old to get a lot better, and he's a hard worker so if it were going to happen, it already would have.

But yeah, the situation with our bigs right now is a mess. Ira actually suggested we bring Dampier back the other day.

I thought Joel looked much improved these two games. He's showing an ability to catch a basketball. He even dunked last night. Also he's becoming a clutch free throw shooter. I still think ideally we are bringing him off the bench just because the energy is more needed there than in the starting lineup. But whatever.

I'm amazed so many people are drawing such large conclusions out of a preseason game.

Joel had a horrendous first game, even though he only played like 7 minutes. It was covered since Heat blew the Magic out. Let's see how he does against the Mavs lol.

Dude fouled someone within 1 minute of the game starting

Because Lebron and Wade are better ball handlers and passers than our PG's. Our PG's purpose is to hit open shots and play D.

Im assuming that was the very first Heat game you watched, because clearly you dont have a damn clue what you are talking about.
