Heat doesnt need PGs as long as Wade and James are on this team only 3pt shooters...

Honestly, when Wade and LeBron are in all Chalmers and Cole does is walk the ball up and pass it to James/Wade and occasionally you'll see Cole run something when he's feeling confident.

You are both blind, & have no idea what the PG position is. & i find it insulting every time some ignorant fool says different cause that was the position i played in Coral Gables Senior High School for 3 years.

Just because you guys are not smart enough to see the difference, doesn't mean their isn't one.

Wade started of at PG when he came into the league, but after 1 year Pat realized that Wade did not have the PG skills to play PG full time. So Pat had to switch him to SG. He is a scorer with great passing ability. Not a PG, & neither is Bron.
If the positions were the same crap like you guys think then why not start Wade, or Bron there since they are our best players? Hell start James Jones, Battier, Miller, Harris, or even Bosh at PG? Cant they all shoot from the out side?

It has nothing to do with "what we know the PG position to be". Are you serious?

It's how Chalmers and Cole play the PG role. Stop acting like they are Rondo or Nash like or something.

Where do most of the Heat's assists come from? Or who are the play makers? Wade and LeBron right?

And yeah actually Battier, Miller, Harris, even Bosh can be at the PG POSITION and not play PG. You can be out of position and not play the position to it's fullest. UDONIS IS AT CENTER (he was in college when he was fat, but right now, NO... he should be PF). Hell, JOEL IS AT CENTER!

Anyway, but they can't guard that position like LBJ or Wade so they don't do it  This team doesn't really even use the PG role as the "PG". Chalmers doesn't spot up to shoot 3's for nothing. Cole has been asked to shoot 3's because of that as well.

LeBron can play the PG role, and has at times at the end of games. Same with Wade. So what's the problem?

LMAO what does Wade coming into the league as a PG have to do with anything?

This isn't about the PG definition, this is about HOW THE POINT GUARDS ARE USED ON THIS TEAM. SPOT UP SHOOTERS.

LeBron can play all 5 positions. Is he a Center? By definition, no, but he be in that position. How can you not see the difference between this team's definition of a PG and the general definition of a PG, and stop the "ZOMG YOU GUYS ARE SO DUMB". It's lame.

Turiaf when healthy would give us some good minutes... he has always been a serviceable back up Center.

Turiaf is a more impactfull player than Hollins. If i had to choose i'd go for Turiaf, he is the smarter player, plays with a meaner streak, and can pass the ball nicely also. He would be our most complete center by far. In an ideal world it would be nice getting both of them though

What turiaf can do :

Defend the post against the stronger Cs : checked
Go up strong and Dunk with authority : checked
Catch and finish : check
Get a few back to the basket post moves : checked
Block : checked
Shoot the jumper : checked
Rebound : checked
Steal : checked
Pass : checked
Shoot FT : checked
Run : checked
Defend the P n R: checked
Get the charge : checked
Good bball IQ : checked
Be a great teammate and locker room presence : double checked
Play his heart out every night : triple checked

Turiaf when healthy, no doubt he can contribute. But he has a broken hand and only played 4 games. Can be a gamble with him. I'D TAKE IT!!!

Except he can't rebound. For his career he has been worse than Joel, especially lately. For his career Hollins is a TRB% of 10 which is horrible for a center.
