I personally think Allen would be an amazing fit. Having a big time consistent shooter like him who doesn't miss as much time as Miller, can offer Wade some more rest throughout the regular season and would really spread the floor with Lebron would be ideal.

Unfortunately this is what we expected with Miller, but it's so constantly interrupted that it never becomes a staple of our play. I feel like adding Ray would finally make it a real weapon.

Also Nash has the ball in his hands 90% of the time... do we really want to reduce Nash to a drive and kick option when we have Lebron and Wade handling the ball as much as they do? i dunno..

Nash is one of the best shooters in the history of the game. He's a better shooter in his career than RayRay. I think I'd go with Nash every time. Now would I take Terry or Allen? That's a real question. PEACE.

see the thing is adding Nash would really change the dynamic of our offense IMO, his magic comes from having the ball in his hands and working of infinity screens... we don't necessarily wanna do that and the 2 wings Lebron/Dwade are garbage at the catch and shoot.

Ray Allen on the other hand even Jason Terry (bleh) would cater to our already established style and i think help us tighten it up. I will go on the record and say that I wouldn't be upset with the addition of any of them cuz they are all hall of fame skilled & the upmost professional guys who really want to win... well maybe we should just pretend I never mentioned Terry lol.

Terry... he requires the ball a lot and is streaky. I'd just go for Ray or Nash. Nash though, not only is a he a fantastic PG but a good shooter. It's like a 2 for 1.

3 reasons why I would love to have Nash:
1. He would help us A LOT. Imagine Nash having so many open 3's. He'll drain 'em more consistently. Plus, it'll make Bron & Wade relax a lil bit more on holding the ball.
2. He's my favorite PG since I been watching basketball behind only John Stockton. Its sad that he hasn't won a Championship yet. He really deserves one. I'd love him to come here and win one with us. Even if its for just one season. He deserves it.
3. I can see him helping Mario & Cole(especially Cole) develop A TON! Especially developing their playmaking skills more. That's assuming we don't trade anyone of those 2 for him.

Say goodbye to Wade if you want Nash/Gortat

Who wouldn't? But a team with 0 in cap space isn't going to have that happen unless you trade a key piece which I don't see Miami doing.

Nah man I think we can make the trade without giving up Wade. Might have to give up Bosh but I'm not ready for that! I want to keep the Big 3 in tact... which will make this trade impossible lol. But like Pimper said I'd rather have Gortat, fits our teams needs. We can trade for him and keep the Big 3

I think your reason for NOT wanting Nash is my reason for wanting him.

I think that Wade and Bron are at their most dangerous when they are moving off the ball. I can only dream of Nash bringing the ball up and sensing movement, sending the perfect pass and 75% FG  .

I completely agree. I think he reason they always have the ball in their hands is because Spo likes their ability to create a play better than Chalmers. But the team is better off having a great PG who can allow LeBron/Wade to move around without the ball which disrupts the defense more.

With Nash, the Heat's halfcourt set gets much better. The key is just movement and not standing in once place, Wade is decent at moving off the ball and LeBron is getting better at it compared to last year where he'd just stand in the corner.

Nash doesn't have to handle the ball ALL the time, have either Wade/LeBron orchestrate the offense at times and have the best shooting PG of all time spot up for the 3 or open mid range jumper.

You mean goodbye to Bosh. Haslem and Gortat would start.

After seeing how Chalmers played last night, I'd welcome Nash with open arms. :D

I don't think it's necessary though, I'd rather shop around for a slightly younger PG for long term, not just a season fix.

Nash would need the ball ALL the time pretty much to play his game, can't see LBJ and Wade playing to their full potential if this is the case, as they love the ball in their hands.

A new Center is more of a priority though right now than a PG.

Steve Nash?

Post#57 » by lebronjames6 » Wed Apr 4, 2012 6:35 pm

He wants a three year deal this summer. What are your thoughts on signing him and being a mentor for Chalmers? He was on the Dan Patrick show last week and talked about joining the heat. Lebron has always been a fan of Nash.
