Exactly, so I'm not sure why you said that's the direction you think the coaches are headed..? Doesn't sound remotely realistic.

To try to further accommodate LeBron.

Wade is far better on the ball than he is off the ball and better from the top of the key as opposed to the baseline, but he was still moved off the ball and to the baseline to let LeBron do the ball handling from the top. I could see them trying to do this as well.

I think you're overreacting to the past month or so. Let's face it, Wade has had a lot injury problems this season. A lot of it was unfortunate (yet people gave him heat on this board for no apparant reason) but it hampered him in his play. It started with bruised foot, a strained calf and a severely sprained ankle to begin the year and ended with a banged up knee and a discloated finger. They guy has barely had a stretch where he was 90% (you're rarely ever 100% during the regular season) and had his rhythm the way LeBron had. With that being said, he still had a USG% of 31.3, just slightly below LeBron's 31.9. During our dominant stretch before the ASB, when we played our best basketball of the season, his USG% was actually higher than LeBron's.
The reason his overall USG% in slightly lower than LeBron's now is because he's played injured and in those games wasn't his usual aggressive self. He would rather take an offensive possession off than before and towards the end of the season they probably looked for LeBron a little more to get him the MVP (and rightfully so, every team does it). My point is, when Wade is Wade, he'll be involved and treated as the 1st option he is, which is why I don't understand your notion that they'll demote him to help LeBron. Contrary to popular belief we've thrived with the two of them playing as the no.1 options they are and I'm pretty sure the coaching staff won't ignore it.
It's just easy for Wade to take it slow when he's hurt because he has a guy with the quality of LeBron next to him. As long as we're winning, he most likely doesn't give a crap. In the playoffs you can expect his assertiveness and thus his touches to increase more again.
