If he wasn't passionated about the game and winning and the Heat, he wouldn't go off on Spoelstra. Something is up, I don't know what it is, but there's something happening behind closed doors we don't know about. I'm not trying to make excuses for Wade, as there is no excuse for such a performance other than a severe injury or a really tragic private event, but I don't buy the explanations of him declining or not caring enough.
Ever since the All-Star break and especially towards the end of the season he's been in a funk. Prior to the ASW, he was explosive, he had a highly efficient postgame and his jumper was falling as well. He wasn't playing like his younger version, obviously, but he was deadly in other ways. Right now, he struggles to even get lift on his jump shots and when he misses, they're not just short but go to the left or right as well. He wasn't even trying to drive to the basket and even struggled to gain good post possession, which can also be blamed for a lack of trying. He deferred to virtually everybody on the team and spent multiple possessions just observing a play. Again, I don't know what it is, but something's up and I'm afraid it might come out soon.
To me he seems injured and frustrated at not being able to overcome the injury and play great.
Can't see him putting himself forward for the olympics either - on health grounds. He's got to get himself some rest and be right for next year.
