No real expectations as far as how many wins, I just want Spo to manage the stars minutes well, and I'll enjoy the games. The playoffs are special, but I'm always pumped when Fall comes around to watch the regular season too.

Can the Big 3 all opt out and sign more cap friendly (lower) contracts? Is that allowable under the CBA?
They took less money once and the rest of the NBA changed the CBA to try to screw them. How about they take less again to keep stacking the team?
I've been hoping for this too. It'd extend our window for a few more years.
Regarding next season, I just want Lebron, Wade, and Bosh to get tons of rest and just prepare for the playoffs. Lebron has a ton of minutes on him already and I think it's finally time for Lebron to get a realistic amount of minutes this year instead of the 40+ he's usually had to log. No Olympics for Wade or Lebron, they need rest and would be better served to work on their games. I really have no problem with Bosh playing in the Olympics, he doesn't have the responsibilities of Wade or Bron and his injury let him skip a bunch of games so there's less minutes on him.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

This is definitely possible, and was probably the one thing that I thought both Wade & UD could have (& should have) done if they really wanted to stack the team in 2010 - once LBJ & Bosh had agreed to sign. Both could have signed for 1 year at the vet-min, retained their Bird Rights, then sign for Max & current value (respectively). We would have had another 15m in cap space, and could have signed a more complete roster, or absorbed a contract like Tyson or Kaman in a trade.

We'll still enjoy having HCA, but at this point thesre no need to kill ourselfs chasing it. at the same time, we cant slack off too much either.
Keys for us next season :
1) Get to the playoffs with everyone healthy, try to get HCA too if possible.
2) Play a big rotation, devlope our young prospects, get them some expirense and confidence and take some of the load off the big 3.
3) improve on our weakness : playing in the off court, end game drills, Center position.
4) Get the repeat.

Was such a thing even possible?

I don't think that's allowed, isn't that what Minny got punished for with Joe Smith? It's the whole promise of another deal in the future that is frowned upon. But signing a multi year deal at a lower price? Sound legit to me!

Spoelstra needs to manage minutes, period. With Derrick Rose likely to miss most if not all of next season, the second-best squad in the East is not a threat. At the very least the Heat earn home court throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs. At this point it becomes imperative that the coaches keep DWade's career longevity in mind.
