He had a long flight to Miami. You think he wants go get back on a plane again immediately after? Why not chill in Miami for the evening, leave tomorrow after a good nights rest in a hotel room, probably with a woman in it?

The only thing I read in this situation : Allen is going back to BOS. He should have already said yes.

We are being used as leverage.

Here is the Miami recruiting trip video. It starts up with Wade doing some recruiting at the 2 minute mark. However, the trip really becomes great when a couple of locals show Ray around at the 8 minute mark. 8-)

Did you really have to put the same exact thing in 3 different threads?

I don't have a good feeling anymore because so far Boston has made all the right move to go for a championship run for the next 2 years and ray Allen will also get more money there too.

No scheduled talks tomorrow. Not sure what you are talking about. Flight in the AM back to Boston.

I think we're actually looking into signing the guy in the jersey.

From Hoopshype this morning:

There also would be the sense that Allen, Paul Pierce [stats] and Kevin Garnett will stay around to finish the run they began in the summer of 2007. A source close to Allen indicated the Celtics are making a heavy push to get this done, attempting to answer his issues along the way. Allen told the Herald months ago that he didn’t want to have to sweat out another trade deadline after nearly being moved in the past, and word is the Celts are ready to comply with either a no-trade clause or a trade kicker (most likely the latter) that would get him a good-sized raise if he does get moved. It’s interesting to note that, according to the source, Allen would already have a deal with the Celtics if they’d met his asking price, leading one to wonder whether there’s really anything to the Rondo rhetoric. Boston Herald

Sounds like he is staying...

I guess we are just leverage.... oh well.

I mean yeah, he has won before with Boston and they have reloaded. Plus he'd get more money already. His family wouldn't have to move. Going down to Miami for 3 mil a year and having a whole life change might not be worth it to him. They still compete every year.

But nothing's official. At first I had confidence we could get Allen but things don't look well.

so much reports... he definitely isn't going to the Clippers, especially with Crawford signing. It's just random as hell, same with Memphis.

if Ray goes back to the Celtic's, it's Heat and Celtics once again in the ECF lol.

I think Ray Allen is one of the few guys in the league the Miami women bonus has no effect on. Why do you think he always plays well against us? I don't read much into him staying a night in Miami though, as it won't change the outcome of his decision. I also don't believe him not choosing Miami right after the meeting is a sign against us either. It's a big decision for him, as it may be the last contract of his career. Boston obviously has the financial and emotional advantage but we can provide him with the better shot at winning. The way I see it, he'll probably return to Boston and discuss his potential role with Rivers and Ainge and then makes a decision based upon those meetings. With the Celtics signing Terry, I think that also provides us with an important advantage, as we'll most likely have more use for him than Boston.

With that being said, I'm confident in him coming to Miami.

Didn't Ray Allen have those cell phone texts of him and his mistress made public? they were pretty freaky.

I'd say miami women have an effect on him.
