OT: Check out my brother Flame 10-5; Coming out St.Pete, FL.

Post#1 » by NYK Mentality » Tue Aug 7, 2012 2:45 am

Just looking for honest feedback from Miami rap heads. This my bro right here, hopefully his music will rock Miami within due time. Thanks in advance for any type of feedback. This city putting in a lot of time and effort into music, just wanna see us heard/seen. Flame 10-5 on the hook and 1st verse. Florida has lots of music talent in regards to the rap scene and it's no secret Miami is running things. Hopefully St.Pete can blow as well.

I like how the video ends at 4:20 exactly. :D

Don't have much to offer after that, hip hop died for me around 2003. I guess this is what's in right now. If so, the first guy to throw it down sounds like he has potential to make it.

would have to see more to see if I like his general style. That song was ok, too long for how repetitive it is though. Would like to see something new and original instead of sounding like the basic miami rapper/birdman tune. It wasnt crunk wasnt storytelling, not sure what it was so more songs from him would help determine what identity he is going for and from that I could tell if I like it or not.

This particular song has flow though it would benefit greatly from a breakdown or change of pace to break the repetitive feel.

Sounds like regular stuff you hear on Soundclick. In fact I think thats a soundclick beat. Not a good rapper in terms of metaphors, story telling, or delivery. Not any kind of poet either. Rap was great for about 15 years but it's downfall has continued and is getting worse. Money, cars, women, clubs...I mean if that is all you have to talk about I don't want to listen to it. It promotes a lifestyle that really just doesn't exist. Rap has taken a turn for the worst compared to back in the day when it was all about putting wordplay and poetry in motion. Stories, conquests, concepts, and of course wordplay and metaphors are what makes a great rapper.. Not " I got a lotta money, I got a lotta ho's,blah blah blah, I love my cool clothers, I gotta a lotta ice, imma steal ya gurl..blah blah blah imma rule da world.. I want it all I want it all...Blah blah blah money blah blah blah in da club yo.. Rap sucks nowadays.
Amazing mind blowing rappers like Big Pun, Chino XL, and TechNine are never talked about or even considered the best at what they do. Instead people worship these half ass lil wayne rappers and thats that.
This guy sucks too but i'm sure he'll get a deal because thats how that ish works. You have to suck ass at rapping to get signed.
