Re: Better rethink the 'no center' philosophy...
How hilarious would some of these Lakers fans look if their team didn't even make it past the Thunder this season?

We would be very upset obviously, what kind of stupid question...
Just as heat fans would be upset if they cant get past Boston or even New York this season

I'll give you a minute to think over which scenario is more likely.
Bottom line is that many Lakers fans are already tooting their horns when they haven't even been to the Finals in the past 2 seasons... The Heat have been there twice already and are now defending champions. We've deserved the right to believe we're going back with an upgraded roster. The Lakers on the other hand should be more worried about making it out of the West before trying to measure themselves up to the Heat. Last time I checked the Thunder still match up very well with the Lakers and their core will only get better this year.

Not saying the heat are one and done but its pretty hard to win back to back, so I think you should take your own advice about being humble. The Lakers went to the finals 3 years in a row and no one I mean no one expected Dallas to knock them off. So regardless of the likely hood in the words of KG "anythings possible" the Lakers fans thats gloating are no worst than the heat fans from two summers ago.

Where did I say anything about the Heat repeating? All I'm saying is that the Thunder are too good of a team to be overlooked by many of these Lakers fans. It's like the Thunder might as well be a group of nobodies after the Lakers landed Howard and Nash.
I personally think the Lakers are in for a rude awakening in the WCF. Us Heat fans know first hand how dangerous (bloodthirsty) a motivated team can be after a Finals loss.

More variables in that equation than you're considering. Lakers were aging during their run, and faced no competition until Dallas assembled a contender. The Thunder were just too young. Now the Thunder are entering their prime and returning the same squad that curbstomped the Lakeshow in the WCF. They still maintain the same matchup advantages as last season as well.
Meanwhile, we still have our players in their prime, and our competition in the east has only gotten weaker or older. Our path to the top is as easy as LA's during their repeat, we still pose a serious matchup problem for anyone in the league, and unlike LA, we have the best player in his prime.
Humble? GTFO with that talk, Lakers fan. You guys wouldn't know humble if Jesus came back to give you each a personal lecture on the subject. It's laughable hearing that kind of talk from your fanbase when you guys wear arrogance like a badge. Just because you're no longer top dog doesn't mean everyone else has to exercise any moderation. Take your lumps until your team wins. Since that won't happen, just take your lumps. PEACE.
