The high-usage is from taking so many shots. He took a lot of bad shots inexplicably during his short time on the floor, and often forced the issue in transition.
I definitely disagree with the overtly negative tone of Hollinger's profile. Cole was definitely brutal for prolonged stretches, but I saw enough good to know with proper coaching he'll be a solid back up 1 for us as long as we can keep him.
I agree that the defensive stats are deceptive, likely due to who he normally played with. His defense clearly passes the eye test.
And yeah, dissing his rebounding is a joke. He had a 40 and 20 game in college, clearly it was something he just wasn't asked to do.
I think John's most accurate criticism was on Cole's court vision. He was said to have great vision in college, so I'd like to think what we saw was somewhat aberrational, and the result of little coaching/practice time. He still seemed to not see open guys in SL, so I'm a tad worried about that, but we don't need him to be Rondo.
