I've pretty much given up on him as a viable NBA player, he has skills, but his mind just isn't cut out for professional basketball. I thought he'd turn it around in Phoenix this year but that obviously hasn't been the case. I think this might be the end for him.

He's 6'7, very few midgets can rebound at that size in the NBA. You should have seen that coming.

He's 6'9(at least), the same size as Love. Not to mention the fact that his rebounding has steadily gone from slightly above average to way below.

LMAO @ at least 6'9. Beasley measure out at 6'7 at the pre-draft combine. He's shorter than Love and Jeff Green. I could see if he was big and bulky like Paul Milsap but not even

He still has a larger wingspan and reach than Love. I'm not even saying he would be a great rebounder, but it was reasonable to think he'd be somewhere around 7 boards a game but his rebounding has significantly regressed over the years.

the guy has game but what is severely hampering his skills is the fact that the guy has made some mistakes in the past and no one has given him a second chance. think about it, beas mustve been so excited hearing about lebron and bosh coming over only to be told that after 2 seasons the heat were gonna toss him to the side.

he then goes to Minnesota where he started off the season on fire and ironically gets injured playing the heat. ever since then beasley has gone down hill. whether it be coaches playing him out of position or being benched for nothing, the guys confidence and ability has been decomposing since he got traded to minny.

i wonder if pat riley would ever consider giving beas another shot.

If he's down for league minimum, he can take Shard's spot next year. I know Shard is going to opt out for more money. Would be nice to have Beasley, but the guy needs to learn to attack and develop his post game more.

I know Spoelstra would love having him back, afterall he only did call Beasley his "favorite" like a million times.

I admit to having a bit of a soft spot for Beasley. He is still young enough where he might be able to turn things around. Who knows, maybe he could resurrect his career in Miami.

The part that pissed me off the most about Beasley was his mental weakness. The guy had/has the tools to be a player in the league but is soft and has no work ethic.

Regarding the trade, receiving a first round pick was never a realistic option given the position we were in and the incidents Beasley has had. He had substance abuse issues, had never shown he could reach the level he was projected to come to and we needed to move him to add depth to our roster. No team would take him on and help us along the way while giving up any meaningful assets such as a 1st round pick.

I remember the talk was Brand(S&T) and Lopez for Marion and Beasley.

The reason Beasley was dumped to make sure we had room to get the big three. Even thou it was still available after we sign them, it was for precautionary reasons. Once Beasley caproom was still availble, Riley wanted to make sure we had ready to go professionals in place (Udonis Haslem first then Mike Miller). He knew that the Heat were going to get a lot of attention, and adding a young mind to the team like Beasley could be a bomb ready to explode.

Beasley issues that he been dealing with his entire professional career is a maturity problem. He may eventually get there but he has of yet became a mature professional. Even his game has not evolved, he has never really figure out what his talent was meant for. Beasley should never be a great defender, but he should be a great rebounder and thats one of my biggest disappointments in him. He has a young charles barkley body, but wants to play like Ginobli.

Spo's love affair with Haslem broke Beasley. He kept him on a short leash for two meaningless seasons. 3 years into the big 3 and he's moved Bosh to C and Haslem right back into the starting PF spot. Spo is short for Sporano.
