^ We dont need a Bynum, We need a young Ilgauskas, a Rik Smits, Brad Miller..those types.

A Center that can rebound, play D and hit the mid range shot.

With our cap situation, we can't add that player in free agency. We need to either draft him (that's what we're trying to do with Justin hamilton) Or settle for a Center that does at least 2 of those things like Birdman (no jumpshot). Although DAlembert might actually have a mid-range shot, doesn't he? not a great one, but maybe a somewhat decent one. im not sure.

In an ideal, non-salary cap world Marc Gasol would that guy.

Yup..Marc is a great passer too, He would find Wade and LBJ on cuts all day long. not a great rebounder, but a quailty shooter and defender..i like his game.

Not a consistently great rebounder, though he did average 8.9 RPG last season and 9.3 RPG three seasons ago. But those passing skills? He'd be surgical in the Heat offense.

Waiting for a ballboy to suggest we trade Miller and Joel for him.

Anyway Marc is way out of our $ league, and frankly he's an overkill IMO. we don't need an allstar Center, even a Kosta Koufos/Tiago Splitter/Nikola Vucevic/Asik/DeAndre Jordan/Larry Sanders - that level of talent would be huge for us. Just huge.

Not sure why Heat fans are so down on Bosh. He's easily the 2nd most important player to their offensive flow. Honestly at this point Dwade is eating off of Lebron's plate and not making his own. If Lebron were to ever get injured and miss any games we wouldnt be seeing a spike in production from Wade.

Bosh will ultimately have to, once again, play a pivotal role in the playoffs if the Heat expect to repeat. He'll shake out of his current rut, play well, and the world will keep on turning.

Wade is not eating off of anyone's plate.
Wade is coming off a summer surgery that takes any regular Joe longer than a few months to shake off more less an athlete in a sport that requires 100% use of its legs.

Let's get real here. Many on this board are throwing Wade under a bus for whatever reason  ( that's a whole different subject) without taking into consideration a knee surgery. Injuries happen.
Many say Wade is not given 100% effort some nights.

There's two sides to a coin,
1) It may be true, but...
2) Going too hard with recovering knee could re-invite the injury and really handicap the season.

I say, let's slow down our criticism a bit and let's go with the flow.

Now as far as rebounding goes, it is not Bosh the slim PF I blame, but the front office.

Some of the most ungreatful, ignorant responses in this thread.

Cannot wait for the day Bosh is gone and all of you Heat fans understand what he does for an NBA team through out a 48 minute game.

Wow...it is just amazing to me how quickly you people turn on bosh. Its disgraceful, NEWSFLASH: WE JUST WON A TITLE! In which bosh was a huge part of, and when he was injured vs Indiana, all of you were freaking out....Its amazing to me, even after that, you people havent realized bosh's value to this team. Stop talking about trading him, we're NOT TRADING HIM. Hes struggling right now, BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY YEAR for the past two years and trade speculation always happens. Then what? He plays well, and the talks go away. Stop being so near-sighted, bosh is a huge part of this team and if we want to win another title, we cant do it w/o him.

Wade isn't eating off anyone's plate. He feeds Lebron as much as Lebron feeds him.

He has given up shots because we add perimeter players every year and Lebron's shots aren't reducing so it has to come from somewhere.

He has the best post game on the team

Yeah. Slumps are just slumps. If he didn't prove his importance to this team last Summer, then he never will. We will not win a championship without Bosh. We'd have to turn him into Dwight, and that's not likely to happen. Bosh would probably beast in a D'Antoni system, and we'd probably make excellent use of Dwight here. But I don't see that trade happening, and I'm not sure I care if it doesn't. I like Bosh. He's just in a funk right now. He'll break it. PEACE.

I'm not one who wants to trade Bosh, but I'm just pointing out that this argument that I keep seeing is not logically sound. Just because missing Bosh was nearly fatal to our team doesn't mean Bosh is irreplaceable. If we, for example, traded bosh for another big who was great, and then he got injured, we would have the same effect. Our team is top heavy, so missing a third of our super talent will hurt, but that doesn't mean there aren't other players in the league who could fill in that talent need instead of Bosh. Just losing a player completely to injury is bad because there's no one to replace him! When you trade, you're replacing him with someone of near (if not equal or greater) value.

Anyway, Bosh won't leave this team and we won't trade him. The dude is going through a slump, some of it is his own fault, some of it is bad luck. It's not something I will worry about until the playoffs begin because none of this matters really. So long as he brings it then, which we know he can, I'll be fine.

It's a reoccuring issue with Bosh, but with his offense we definitely still need him. When his jumper is on, it's unstoppable.

The rebounding also has to do with his positioning. Sometimes he's out there on the arc, guarding a guard. But he isn't aggressive enough, and I feel like if he was trying to fight for rebounds every game, he might get injured.

If he gets his head together for the playoffs, we should be fine.

We definitely can't win without him. He puts a lot of pressure off of Wade and LeBron, more so than we know it.

Lol you know what's funny? If Bosh was on an opposing team, we might not be able to guard him. He would KILL us, more so on the offensive end. Don't even say "just put LeBron on him", cause LBJ shouldn't be guarding everyone all the damn time.
