Yeah, Riley made a sizable donation to Romney. Now that I think of it, this is the first title Riley has won with a Democrat in office. Lakers as a player in 1972 (Nixon), the 4 Lakers title as coach in the 80s (Reagan), and ours in 2006 (Bush).

Elisburg was one of the only execs on that list to make a donation to Obama. Glad he got to take part.

^Don't worry, I agree with Heat3's laugh and was just pointing out the coincidence more than anything (hell, I probably could've stomached Bob Dole if it meant another title in the late 90's.) But no way would I think Pat would skip it based on politics, especially when most of the players, including a particular one we'd like to re-sign in 2014, supported Obama's reelection.

The scariest part of that video was seeing (who I presume to be) McGrady there. That's just like some alternate dimension where things are backwards.
