We should hope for Philly at the 8 spot, best possible pick we can get - plus it means they are likely playing us first round, and I rather play Philly than Boston, even if Rondo isn't there (like they showed tonight).

We then trade that pick most likely. I imagine we'd rather take a 1 mill floater on Greg Oden than a 2 mill floater on mid round center (which is really all we should be drafting).

That being said, Isaac Austin and Bob McAdoo's nephews are projected 13th and 14th in the draft at the moment on nbadraft.net - uncles with major ties to the Heat organisation. Austin is a 7 foot PF/C - could be worth a look if he fell out of the lottery (?)

It's hard decsion to make now if we should keep the pick and draft a big (hoping Philly makes the playoffs) or just try to trade it for the best bigman we can land.

I agree that amnesty is the more likely option, but not the only one.

Cleveland are in the position of taking on bad contracts for firsts. I know they won't help Miami, but there will be a few other teams with space in the offseason who might absorb Miller for a first on draft day.

No team will take on Miller for a first, its like saying UD can get us Dwight.

Sixers just made playoffs? RT @WojYahooNBA Sullinger will miss the rest of the season with a back injury, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Without Rondo and Sullinger, Celtics might blow it up and miss the playoffs.

If Bynum comes back soon, Philly could make it to the 8 seed which would land us the #15 pick..which would be **** awesome

Sounds great... as long as we don't trade it for some early second rounders.

Weak draft or not, you can't tell me there isn't value on a decent off-ball playing guard or middle of the road center on a pick just outside the lottery. Not guys with huge upside. Not scaled down versions of some All-Star. Just NBA rotation players with average competencies where we have needs.

I look forward to use trading this pick for a future Top 10 protected pick, and then the next year for a Top 3 protected pick, and then the next year for an unprotected pick from a terrible team .....and then trading that for five second rounders.
