I really don't think Bosh doesn't deserve anything close to 20 - 16, based on how he plays. Hopefully he acknowledges this and accepts a cut.

I've always felt that Lebron was on lease and I'm mentally prepared for him opting out and moving on after proving what he needed to prove here. In fact, it pains me to say that I would respect and cheer Lebron regardless of what he decides to do. The man is living up to every single cent of the contract he signed here, both on and off the court.
This is Marino during the 84 season when he annihilated NFL records. Jordan during his prime years winning 70+ games.
Take it all in. One day you will remember these years of peak Lebron playing in a Heat uniform and you will feel just like people from Chicago that watched Jordan mature from a superstar to the greatest of all time.
This team is only going to feed off Lebron and his greatness. I already see Wade finally understanding his role and playing with energy - Not only for the team, but for Lebron. I see our role players accepting Spo's on again, off again rotations. I see a team rallying around their leader who is leading by example with intensity on both sides of the court that is simply super-human and unmatched in the NBA right now.
We are witnessing true greatness. Savor it. You never know when it may be taken away from us or how long it will last.
This is nothing like people from chicago watching jordan mature. The heat got a finished product from fa.
Consider this your one and only warning....GT3

Bosh is the one of the three who I would expect NOT to take a cut. When you consider how much he has sacrificed already to become the third option--the least we can do is pay him.
A lot is going to depend on if we are winning titles or not. But let's say they win the next two titles to three peat(because that's the only situation where it actually gets difficult--if we lose one of the years--the first thing that is going to happen is Bosh is going to get moved for more depth--which will make the whole discussion moot)--and all three opt out. I think Bosh will get the max. I think Lebron and Wade might both take cuts to try and bring in MORE talent because it makes their job easier--and at that point they're chasing legacy. The latest CBA kind of does the Heat a favor because Lebron can't get market value for his talents anywhere for any team--so he has to make the money off the floor--and the way he does that is winning championships. That was the business calculation that Lebron made in coming to Miami. He saw how much more money than him Kobe is making in China where they mostly value championships over anything else. Lebron wants to crack the chinese market--and the way to do that is to win a ton of titles.
And Wade will be 34--and by that point he'd have 4 titles with a legit shot at both Jordan and Kobe for ring count--and he'll always be one ring ahead of Lebron--which is kind of the thing he gets in exchange for being second banana. And we've already seen Wade take less money for UD.
I mean you see how much better this team is adding guys like Battier and Ray. If we had enough money to add that calibre of center to the team it would seal the deal.

I see what your saying and I hope Miami does win a 3 peat. The problem is I don't see LeBron (being the best player in the league, not even in his prime, NOT making a max). Bosh is a great and I know he sacrifised a lot, but at the end of the day points/baskets is what contribute toward wins not spacing so much. Again it's a touchy subject cause if you look at how Bosh played in Toronto as a power forward you know he can be more dominate but he has sacrfised a lot. I hope these three someway can stay together while obtaining a dominate center. Only time will tell.

I just don't seeing him leaving, because that means a whole season trying to gel and find on the court chemistry with his new all-star team mates.
Or he possibly thinks he has improved so much during the last 3 years, that whatever the team, he's winning another ring.

If I was LeBron, I would leave if I couldn't get a max and could not keep Bosh and Wade. Obviously keeping wade (while providing him with a max) is doable. But then Bosh would feel left out and he has sacrafied a lot. It's gonna be tough we will see what happens in the next few years.

Re: Stop for a moment and realize...
I think that Wade is going to be a top 5 player again. I think the slow start to this year was his knee--and that he's adjusting his game for some of the athleticism he's losing. His midrange game is coming back--and he's shooting and making more floaters. If he can make that transition in the next year or so-- I don't think Lebron will see much of an upside in leaving wade for any other player in the league. The chemistry Lebron and Wade have took time--and I don't think Lebron will want to restart the clock with someone else in the back few years of his prime.
I think if he goes back to Cleveland it won't be on the next contract--it will be the one after that. When he's 37 or 38, Wade is retired, and Kyrie is entering his prime and Lebron can be the guy to push that team over the hump.
Even then, I would have to think as long as Dan Gilbert is there it's going to be really awkward to go back.

I was thinking the same. I think Lebron only goes back there for the last year of his career or so to help push a prime Kyrie over the hump and help them win a chip. That would be a nice way to retire.

Re: Stop for a moment and realize...
Why would LeBron help the Cavs of all teams to win a title though? From what you read in his interviews, he always makes a clear distinction between Cleveland and Akron, his hometown, so that factor doesn't really exist. The Cavs' ownership also trashed him when he left, so that's even less of an argument of him returning. So why, at the age of 37/38, when he hopefully has a few titles under his belt, would he return there? Not that I'm insecure about him leaving at any point, if he does he does, but it just doesn't make much sense.
If he left in 2014, cool, at least we won one (two/three) more championships for our franchise, but even that is unlikely for the reason EscapoTHB pointed out. I think there's a higher probability of Bosh leaving us than LBJ. CB is only the third option here with us and that won't change for some time. By the time the 2014 offseason rolls around, he'll at least be a one-time, if not more, champion, so he's conquered that goal. In 2014, he'll still be in his prime and could receive much more recognition with a team a la Houston, who he could help to be a contender out West while playing a bigger role. I'm not saying Bosh will leave, but the reasons for him are even bigger than they are for LeBron.

I hope everything works out so that the three kings stay.
