Paul George is far from overrated, that dude is a stud and let's not act like he hasn't had two great games against us this season. I agree with GameTime_3 that he will be like a Rudy Gay type player, but he will be a more efficient shooter than Rudy. Also Paul George is one of the best wing defenders that we have in this league, he definitely deserves All-Defensive 2nd Team considerations...

You want to talk about overrated? How about Danny Granger who is one of the biggest busts in the league after he made the All-Star team in 09 & the only thing he seems to be good for is running his mouth. Also can't forget about Roy "Softy" Hibbert who only averages 6pts & 10rebs against us and the only game he got recognition after was Game 3 of the second round match up between Miami & Indiana. Hibbert should be sad that players like KG, Bosh, Noah, etc. have had their way with him not only on the offensive end but defensively too & on top of that Hibbert is 7'2". The Pacers actually have a bright future in Paul George and he will be a top player in this league in the next 5 years if he doesn't suffer a serious injury...

If George wants to become a superstar, he needs better handles. He has all the physical tools including the ability to break anyone down off the dribble with his first step but his handles are too shaky to take advantage of it. Kind of reminds me of the same problem Shabazz is currently facing. He also needs a post game so he can abuse smaller defenders. He's already a fantastic defender and could be a real two way force in this league.

Comparing George to Gay? :o Gay is terrible offensively right now and is nowhere near PG defensively. PG is a stud. He might even be a better wing defender than Lebron(key word is might don't get offended). True his offense is decent at best but his defense alone makes him an all star caliber player. He leads the league in defensive win share and is pretty much the only wing defender that can limit Lebron and Durant.

I don't think he will ever be super great offensively but he is 22 so he will get better and his defense alone makes him a super valuable player.

I've said it before, but nobody appreciably improves their handle when they get to the NBA. It is what it is, and with George its not great, so he's never going to be a do-it-all type wing like a LeBron/Wade/Kobe type.

That said, he plays hard, hits his 3's, is a great defender, is athletic and hustles.... no reason he can't be a notch below that level, which I'd still call a star player.

Damn you got a awesome birth day present bro, the Heatles didn't even play on mine :D :(

As a June baby it's always a stressful bday game. Lost in 06, and lost either side in 2011. 2012, wasn't finals time, thank god.

So, where are the trade Chalmers people now? The kid has big game DNA. He isn't afraid of the moment, and has delivered clutch performances for us time and time again. You don't forget what a guy's done in the past because of a present slump. He's not having his best season, but you know that you can count on him to step up when needed. PEACE.

Regarding George, I don't think his ball handling is the issue, it's more so his inability to create better shots for himself, especially in the midrange area. He has all the tools to do it, but not the craftiness, creativity and array of moves to be complete enough. His ball handling is decent, he has great length and athleticism and is very mobile but he's not very polished yet. It's the area from the 3-15 feet where he struggles mightily from.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Off the top of my head, I can think of Durant and Redick, even guys like Fredette and Chalmers.
