Nailed it GS.

Also a good point on about the Lakers... that GoodSir mentioned. Lakers were literally on a phase of hiring/firing/hiring coaches for a team that is PACKED with stars... injuries or not, they have stars regardless and to say Spo is a glorified Mike Brown is a HUGE reach.

Think about it this way... if Spo was considered an average mediocre coach, specially not winning the title in 2011, Pat Riley would have got rid of him in that coaching position (That's where we ALL got real confused because we thought that way as well) but he HAD faith in him because he knew he would succeed and work with this club --- Which he did. On top of that he's young, so taking Spo out of the equation will break no hearts because he hasn't had any experience or any rep to begin with.

Another point is any coach in their right minds will utilize it's best player with a bunch of scrubs with the cast that Wade had to the highest degree, It's common sense.

Lastly about the Bosh usage, Bosh is happier in what task he has given by the coach, I do agree on where he can be utilized a lot more effectively but with a system that works and winning games, why fix something if it ain't broken?... Bosh steps up in the post season when its necessary to do so, as we witnessed it last year and will again in this post season.

I have no idea why some fellow heat posters are in denial with Spo's improvements through out these seasons with this ball club. Give this man his due's.

Stan Van Gundy made a strong point on LeBatard a few weeks ago...he said basically that it would be dumb to post Bosh anymore, because he's no longer matched up with PFs. He's matched up with Cs, and doesn't nearly as much of have an advantage on them as he does on PFs. That's a sacrifice Bosh has made for the betterment of the team...it opens up the lane for Wade and Lebron, who are better offensive players than Bosh, to do their work and set up all the shooters. In order to maximize Bosh's talents, Spo would have to move him back to the 4, which would make our offense worse overall.

The problem isn't that Spo doesn't know how to use Bosh, the "problem" is that maximizing Bosh's talents actually makes the offense worse because it hampers Lebron James--the player in at least 20 years--from doing his thing, to say nothing of how it hampers Wade's game. Instead, Bosh has a different role than doesn't maximize his own stats, but makes the team better, and still makes excellent use of his skill.

If anything, Spo should be praised for getting Bosh to accept a smaller and modified role in the offense to allow Lebron to flourish. Bosh hasn't complained about his role once. That's the epitomen of excellent coaching: understanding what needs to be done to maximize the team's performance, and getting all the players to buy into it, even if it means they have to do things they'd rather not do.

You're missing the forest for the trees here.

I think when Bosh is on the court by himself though, when LeBron and Wade are resting, the offense should be run through Bosh. Give him some faceup isolations. Sometimes they go through possessions where he doesn't even touch the ball (when LeBron and Wade are off the court).

This gift bag contained a denver nuggets hat, Brooklyn knight comic book, and a Milwaukee Brewers lanyard among other treasures like cups with movie logos on them (The Fighter and The Last Exorcism Part 2). Seriously.

Never been to a cavs game and received gear for another team. Wtf.

Gets even better......

Other items of note : 2 duckbrand keyrings, a snitch movie keyring, a step up revolution keyring, a snow white and the huntsman keyring, a big childs head on a stick fathead for child abuse awareness, brave movie stickers, petro double highlighter, BARBASOL SHAVING CREAM, cub cadet thing for keyring, cleveland clinic cup sleeve, and a PAULA DEANDRA CD. WHAT THE F*CK

The Marlins should probably give away Barbasol too since they won't be making many shaving cream pies this year

Yeah, that's what bugs me a lot too. He's way too passive when it's just him out there. We should be seeing Bosh faceup iso's rather than Ray and Cole charging into the paint and missing or turning it over. At the very least, if Bosh isn't carrying that unit scoring wise, he should be making plays for others.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

Yeah beat me to it. You see this with teams most on here considered really-well coached, like SA. Even if Parker is out, they don't just post-up Duncan every time, they still run their offense, which means at times a heavy dose of Gary Neal.

But they're taking a big picture approach -- it's all about prepping for the playoffs, not winning every single possession of every game. That means having guys do the things they're going to do in the playoffs.
