For the life of me, i can't figure out why wade never works on his jumper. It's probably one of the worst jumpers in the league. He'd rather be shooting commercials or selling his shoes. My favorite player ever but i have come to the realization that wade's decline is going to be fast and real ugly unless he gets a jump shot.

Wade looked fine yesterday. He was moving great and you could see it defensively. Its just that he was never in rhythm offensively and once he started missing shots even close to the rim, you could tell he just didn't even want to attempt a shot anymore. Not to mention he doesn't have confidence in his jumper at the moment. He needs to get it back to where it was back in February-March, during the 27 game win streak. With the extra rest til game 4, I look for him to have a bounce-back game

:lol: Joakim Noah says hi...

Wade has worked on his jumper in the off season but right now he has no confidence in it. He was constantly fading away on his jump shot last night and that usually never turns out good for him. Last night had to be one of the weirdest games I've seen Wade play because even tho he had a horrible shooting night, he still had 11 AST & 9 REBS. I know Wade will bounce back in game 4 tho...

I don't know where this part came from. Wade to me has somewhat focused more on the more important things in life like his children but as far as him wanting to do more advertisements than playing ball is kind of overreacting, don't you think? He definitely doesn't have the same hunger that majority of us Heat fans remember but he still loves playing the game of basketball. It's been a up and down year for Wade so there hasn't really been that much for him to smile about. He even came out and said that the critics saying he's on the decline is really getting to him...

You know I kind of saw it that way too, but then why does he always rack up a bad game to some type of injury or not being "100 percent" (no one is). Every time he does this all he's doing is ASKING to be labeled as an injury prone player with his health always in question. I don't want him to lie but I wish he'd take a different approach sometimes and just own it. "I didn't shoot the ball well but I grabbed 9 boards and dished out 12 assists to help get this win" instead of weak ass "I'm not where I want to be" type responses. We've heard that one all season long D Wade, it's the playoffs! You are exactly where you want to be.

I don't think it's overreacting at all. I just mentioned that his decline is going to be very quick and ugly if he can't improve his jump shot. I'm sure he does love playing, and who doesn't like critics taking shots? Still, his jumper is awful and he has become injury prone, and he is getting older...i rather here about him working in the gym this summer on his jumper instead of going to chine to sell shoes.

Like I said, he is my favorite player and I want to see him play his best. There is a big difference between what his jumper can do and what he thinks it can do. Not even kevin durant is taking as difficult shots as D wade does. His shot selection needs to improve too. he has become easy to defend and he mainly gets points now either in transition or cuts to the rim. I dont know how much has to do with his knee, but it seems like he is always going to deal with knee problems.

Not to mention my favorite player has become a diva imo :cry: I miss the old wade, the wade of 2009. I dont expect him to take over games since we have lebron, but some of his antics are disappointing. Anyways, watch him put up 28/8/8 to close out the bucks on sunday :lol:

He improved his jumper a lot this year I think he just had a really really bad night. Wade is good for one of those every now and then. But if you look closely the maturity of his bad games is completely different. Last year in Indy with his bad game he did basically nothing last night he still almost had a double double. He played a good overall game his shot just wasn't there. To me it's a positive/negative. When his shot is falling and he keeps this up along with LeBron it'll be great.

Wade looked like Young J-Kidd last night lol

His shooting numbers were just an anomaly last night. We should stop overreacting.

The jumper has been bad ever since he came back from his 8 games off. Wade is very streaky with that jumper. During the 27 game streak he was stroking it. I wish he gets back to that form quickly. Also, shooting >80% from the line wouldnt hurt.

Wade shot 43% from 16-24 this season, which is actually pretty damn good (on par with guys like Durant, Kobe, etc). He was also top 10 in the league in efficiency in the post. His decline will neither be fast nor ugly. He had a bad game, so what? Kobe had a 6-24 night (who knows if Wade could've gotten a few more to go if he took an extra 12 shots) and it didn't foreshadow a steep and ugly decline

I wish i could believe that. SG's that have knee issues and rely on athleticism to make plays fall off hard as they age unless they adapt their game(develop a consistent jumper).

I've kind of given up on this team improving their FT shooting lol. I really dont get why they ALWAYS go 1-2 at the line. But FT shooting and turnovers are why these games are close, if not theyre 20-30 point wins.

Maybe he responded to it because the reporters asked him about it? :lol: LeBron referred to his hamstring a little while ago too, was that a weak response as well? Wade constantly says it doesn't matter, but with the way he's moving/shooting, people are gonna assume there's something and if you don't want him to lie, then he has to say something. Spoelstra himself was the one who actually said it was amazing what he did in game 2 given his health when Wade didn't even say a thing. It's not as if whines about it. It's also not as if he didn't own up to it, providing 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals on a night he couldn't get anything to fall.

Also regarding your last post, yes I do believe he can be healthier going forward, similar to the way Kobe has. As I stated, there are methods to further strengthen a knee and avoid issues going forward, which Wade hasn't been able to take due to surgery last offseason but will be able to do so this year. Thus I believe he can be healthier going forward and am optimistic about it because he's a huge part of our team.

@mopper: Thanks for posting facts.

Also, I'm not blowing this game out of proportion. As I mentioned before, it was simply concerning to see how this bone bruise can affect him on a game-to-game basis. I also said I'm confident it'll become less of an issue in further rounds, especially if we can close the series out in four, because unlike last year, there is no structural damage to his knee, it's simply a bone bruise:
