you know how coaches deal with unmotivated play? They play the bench guys. This is in every sport.
Did you notice how hard Rashard Lewis was playing in garbage time the other night? That's how we need all our players to play regardless of the score.
Spurs are a tough team its not like we are losing to scrubs. They are hitting some great shots. We cant seem to knock them out, they keep coming. That is the part that is getting us. Normally we can rely on 1 or two 2 runs to KO a team but the Spurs are not that team. In all honesty what Pop did is coach fundamentals then told his players to let if fly and have fun and shoot every open shot. He took all the face pressure off them so they can play free and not tentative but he still coaches on the backend. Spurs have it easy, they dont have the pressure. If they lose nobody is going to get on them about it and that is exactly how Pop is playing it.
Why we are going to lose? Because when we get in tight situations we tighten up. Spo tightens up the rotation with fewer subs and replies on our already worn out stressed our pressured out stars. Like all the games headed into overtime you can count on no substitutions or changes. I hope I am wrong. No matter what he needs to at least rotate in a fresh body every time out.
