I think it's funny all of the "haters" are just ignoring this.
I have seen some neutral fans admit that the Spurs had the benefit of the doubt and way more calls. The 3rd quarter of game 6 and 7 were terrible.

No non-heat fan is EVER going to admit the heat were on the short end of the officiating. It comes with the territory of being at the top. It doesn't matter how onesided a game is officiated, the most you are going to get from the general public is that there were bad calls for both teams. It is what it is. no amount of evidence is going to change anyones mind

I can never get these embed codes to work here....
ALL bias aside, forget all the stuff the guy says in the video. Just look at the footage...
The calls MJ got in the 90's in a so called tough league
can you imagine if Lebron got these today??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmlfiMDUTQ4

I'm sure to everyone else who watched the Finals and wanted Miami to lose, it looked like the officiating was good, but when you shoot the fewest free throws in the history of the playoffs in a 7 game series, I can tell you, it wasn't good.

Re: Fuel to the referee fiasco : Miami breaks record with fe
lets all be honest here, It felt like Miami was being robbed while it happened but we didnt want to be whiners and blame the refs for everything. It felt strange in the Pacers series almost over the top difference in calls then the Spurs series felt the same way. Then the numbers come out and its the first time ever??? Coincidence? Everyone knows Miami likes to attack. What if Bron doesnt turn into Mr Jumpshot do we lose to the refs and the NBA if we play our normal style?
To me blaming the refs is like racism because you never want to say or admit that you feel discriminated against because it feels like a cop-out even if its probably true. Heat shall overcome.

Re: Fuel to the referee fiasco : Miami breaks record with fe
Found this gem on GB and thought I should pass it along here;
Antrim wrote:TheRightAnswer wrote:The Spurs have always had the rare ability to play great defense and hardly foul. They also pretty much played a zone.
Were there fouls that weren't called? I'm sure, but let's not act like the Spurs had nothing to do with it.
It's funny that you say this, because as bad as the refs were in the last games of the Finals, they were MUCH worse in the ECF. I guess that both the Spurs and Pacers are the best teams in history at playing great defense and not foul. Or maybe, just maybe, the refs are actually allowing a ton of extra contact against the Heat -more specifically the Big 3- since last summer. Let's check the numbers:
LeBron James
Regular Season:
FTA/G in Cleveland: 9.0 FT per FGA: 0.43
FTA/G in first two years in Miami: 8.3 FT per FGA: 0.44
FTA/G last season: 7.0 FT per FGA: 0.39 (!)
Playoffs:
FTA/G in Cleveland: 11.3 FT per FGA: 0.53
FTA/G in first two years in Miami: 8.9 FT per FGA: 0.44
FTA/G last season: 7.6 FT per FGA: 0.4 (!)
Now, before another genius comes saying "he didn't get calls because he was too passive and shooting jumpshots", let's look once again at the numbers, in this case the shotcharts. LeBron attempted 642 shots at the rim last season (2013). His numbers in the five previous years:
497 (2012)
623 (2011)
601 (2010)
642 (2009)
708 (2008)
Basically, this past season LeBron was as aggressive as he's been since 2008, and somehow ended up shooting the least FT in his career.
Here are Wade's and Bosh' numbers:
Dwyane Wade
Regular Season:
FTA/G before the Big 3: 9.2 FT per FGA: 0.5
FTA/G in first two years with the Big 3: 7.6 FT per FGA: 0.42
FTA/G last season: 6.2 FT per FGA: 0.39 (!)
Playoffs:
FTA/G before the Big 3: 9.0 FT per FGA: 0.47
FTA/G in first two years with the Big 3: 7.8 FT per FGA: 0.42
FTA/G last season: 3.6 FT per FGA: 0.25 (!!!!!!!!!!)
Chris Bosh
Regular Season:
FTA/G in Toronto: 7.4 FT per FGA: 0.51
FTA/G in first two years in Miami: 5.6 FT per FGA: 0.40
FTA/G last season: 4.1 FT per FGA: 0.33 (!)
Playoffs:
FTA/G in Toronto: 7.3 FT per FGA: 0.44
FTA/G in first two years in Miami: 5.5 FT per FGA: 0.44
FTA/G last season: 2.6 FT per FGA: 0.25 (!!!!!!!!!!)
So either we all agree in that three players with an ELITE ability to go to the line suddenly lost it completely after two years playing together, OR we all agree in that the refs are purposely treating them differently now, for one reason or another.

Yeah, Antrim pretty much ensured that a the usual suspects won't even touch that thread with a ten foot pole anymore. Blame Rasho's best retort to it was "whatever".

I don't care what other people think. First of all, other people already make fun of us. So **** them if they think we are whiners on top of it.
But MOST IMPORTANTLY, you have to be loud, you have to be vocal, to bring attention to injustice. Phil Jackson would take any fine Stern would give him, but he was going to complain about ANY ref mistreatment of his players.
If we, as fans, are silent about it, we would be giant retards. We have to be vocal to FORCE people to talk about it.

Trying to win the hearts and minds of your enemies is a futile cause and only serves as entertainment for them. The only good thing about it is that you will win over the people with no opinion, but there is no point in trying to think you can win your enemies over.
I agree man. I hate when Spo doesn't criticize the refs, but he has instilled the "No excuse" mentality into our team and complaining about refs might distract the players and think that they are not in control of their destiny.
Like you said, it is up to us as fans to expose the injustice.
