Memphis got better for what? Mike Miller?

LOL.

Im a mike fan......because he was a heat for a while........But we had the luxury of keeping him in the bench the entire year almost and put him in for a few minutes in the playoffs....And he was a nonefactor for us.

Memphis is going to play him more therefore he will be in crutches by mid season. Maybe before.

Just think.

In Memphis he covers their greatest need.

They're still very good without him, and could use him in a limited role before the playoffs.

This last season was his healthiest with the Heat, and he might feel even better next season.

They have 2 bigs, one of which is the DPOY, so his defense won't be much of an issue, and on offense he'll have tons of space to shoot - probably more space than on the Heat.

best point differential in the NBA last year
5.1 points better than Memphis

the re-addition of westbrook to okc > miller to memphis

Memphis also added arguably the best backup C in the league, subsequently making Ed Davis the backup PF after trading Arthur, which i think will pay huge dividends.
If they add another veteran guard, be it Delonte or Calathes, they might be fighting for a top 3 seed IMO.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I don't care if he make Memphis a better team. All i care about is if he's good enough to help Memphis take out Thunder or Spurs.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Well, I don't want them. Just because we beat them once, it doesn't mean that we'll do it again. Based on the previous finals like, Heat vs Dallas in 2006, and Dallas avenged their lost in 2011, Lakers vs Celtics in 2008, Lakers avenged their lost in 2010, I think the same outcome would happen if we face them again. I don't want KD to have a chance of succeeding while LeBron is still in the league. I know it sounds selfish, but other teams fans are saying the exact same thing about us too, especially Lakers fans who don't want LeBron to win enough rings to surpass Kobe.

Thunder are a lot worse than when we played them in 2012.

revisionist historians have made that heat/thunder series a lot less competitive than it really was

pretty sure every game went down to the final 2 minutes (except game 5)
a turnover here or there, missed shot here or there, could have been different (such is the nature of sports i kno)

lebron did w/e he wanted tho so it never felt like miami was in trouble

A lot can happen. What if Wade or Bosh gets injured?

I almost put a pile of money on Mem when Westbrook went down. But at the end of the day they were lucky Blake got hurt in the first round, lucky Westbrook was out the second round then they got crushed. There is no way Memp is better this year than SA, LAC, or OKC without significant injuries.

But I really do wish MM all the best. I thought it was in poor taste to let him go the way they did. He took a big discount to get here...

im not going to lie. I miss Miller already. Maybe because he went to UF when I went there, maybe because I stuck up for him through his many injuries and people calling him a washed up hag that cant play. Maybe because of those epic playoff performances that came out of nowhere after riding the pine all season. Whatever it is there was a reason Lebron Bosh and Wade took less to try to fit MM in here. I consider his departure a cap casualty.
