He's closer to 34 than he is 24, and that means a lot. Even Super LeBron will wear down at some point. Look at the 2010-2011 Lakers. They ran out of gas against Dallas after heading to the Finals in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He has reason to say what he's said.
We've never seen a Bulls team have a chance at going to the Finals for a fourth straight year with their roster (i.e. Michael Jordan) intact. He left after each three-peat.

The difference between that Bulls team and this team is that no one is leaving. We at least have heart to stick out together and make the best of what we got.

Dwight Howard Aiming To Shoot '75 To 80' Percent From Free Throw Line
Sep 28, 2013 11:37 PM EDT
Dwight Howard has steadily worsened as a free throw shooter in his NBA career, shooting just 49 percent last season.
Now with the Houston Rockets, Howard is aiming to have a career season at the foul line. His career high at the free throw line came as a rookie, when he shot 67 percent.
"This season, I want to win a championship," Howard said. "I want to shoot 75 to 80 percent from the free-throw line. I want to win defensive player of the year."
Howard left the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency in the offseason.
