I need to psych myself up to think that, they have been playing everything I've seen so far was for this special moment coming soon.

But if I am wrong, and we go into GAME 1 of the playoffs playing basically the same way, hoping for a different result, I stand read to light that azz up....I won't be KIND

Here I am on a Sunday, watching our rival play, hoping that they lose so we can win HCA......Thinking "how did this happen"? - Did the staff take the HCA serious enough, did we burn our players out, did we motivate properly, what could we have done differently just 1 week, heck 1 game ago, to secure our position...

Hoping for a team to lose, so we can win.......focked up isn't it?

It wont matter if Indy loses.

We are going to lose to the Wizards!

Really people. 1 seed is so overrated.

get over it.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

I know I'm in the minority on this but I wanted us to lose both games. 1. It gives Pacers 1 seed and NY gets out of the playoff picture.

While Indy may be our biggest issue, I fear BKN more. BKN has PG that kill our "system" and enough weapons to throw at LBJ. I would rather have 2 easier series where we won't kill our selfs over the 3 straight hard fought series with the chance to play game 7 on our floor. Give me the big picture easier path. With Wade being out it will help us with chemistry

I'm confident in Miami beating both BKN and Indy but I'd much much prefer them to only have to play 1 of them. Even if it means giving up the 1 seed.

Just accept the 2nd seed and rest up

Sweep the bobcats and rest

True playoffs start in the 2nd round unless they play around which I wouldn't be surprised

with the way officiating goes against us I would rather have more home games than away games in the playoffs
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU%%%%%%%%%%%^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^...Shyt, I do not feel good abut this at all. The Pacers beat an engaged OKC team and the Heat lose to the Hawks? I realize we lost a bunch of games that they shouldn't have, but they made it known that they wanted the top seed and then proceeded to lose to the freaking Hawks. However DefenseWins speaks the truth. The playoffs do start in the second round. But I still don't trust this team. Too many bad losses this year. Oy.

Heat have never said they wanted the one seed. They've always said they want health. Wade looked pretty good, so I guess they're getting what they wanted.

No, let's not elude ourselves. Both Bosh Spice and Lebron said they wanted the first seed. Maybe not in so many words, but the message was clear. Yes, health is paramount, but to give up the #1 seed like that was embarrassing (at this point) to a two time defending champ.

I am more confident this year then I was last year, over last 10 - 14 years if u check being top seed in nba doesnt help much the case.

Think us last year and boston in 2008 were exceptions of having best record winning the title.

you are quite right

its usually a top 5 Team.. but thats about its..

top seed is more of a "bad omen"

of the last 15 champions only 4 had the top seed

1999/2000 Lakers
2002/2003 Spurs
2007/2008 Celtics
2012/2013 Heat

so the top seed in the last 15 years has won it only about 1/4 of the time..

its not "bad" to have the top seed... but as one can see is not a garanty at all.. on the contrary .. one could argue that if around 7/10 champs does not have a top seed that its one of the least important things come playoff time..

so.. i dont mind if we get No 1. or not.. Wade seems ready to go.. so lets shut down the Big three and stick to the "health over seed" plan we had all season...

Return to Miami Heat
