Spurs beat up on overrated Western teams, while we look bad against the slow it down, muck it up, eastern conference games---but come the finals...it's the same old story.

They have no answer for Lebron or a healthy Wade. Fact.

You might want to watch Danny Green against OKC, he's going NBA FINALS on them, so I would hold off on the Danny Green, Patty Mills and co won't shoot them out the gym spill.

Never said that, we can beat them...we can beat anybody, I'm not confident that we will.

Everything we're bad at...they're good at
They have the better coach

How can we offset that.....LEBRON AND WADE however I'm not confident that will get that with CONSISTENT GREAT PRODCTION through the rest of the playoffs.

Like I said, we'll see.............if they win it, I'll be celebrating and LMBO at my lack of confidence along with the rest of you, however I'm don't think this is the year

We have the better 2 players in that series and thats always the diference if they play what they know. No worried about a thing i do think indiana throws us more out of our game that the spurs. Pop handed the blueprint last year. Isnt anymore he cant do do defend lbj, wade. We already know how to play against them and this time , they ll make it pay . Miami in 6

I love how people talk about Wade's "knee flares" as if he's currently injured and nursing it.

Just happily taking whatever the media narrative spoonfeeds you.

I get that the removal of his meniscus means his knees won't allow him to play at a high level for as long, but he hasn't had knee issues this entire season. This is not at all comparable to last post-season when he had bone bruises, or the past 2 years when he was getting his knee drained due to nagging injuries.

There is no such thing is a guarantee in sports. The best teams don't always win, often "luck" or "chance" play huge parts, and someone always goes home a loser. This year is no different than any year for any team. No team has some unusually high chance to win.

Confidence is a luxury, and most often than not a sign of a egotistical or foolish person. There are tons of spurs fans who already think they won the Finals because they've had a good stretch of basketball. Yet they already got taken to 7 games by the Mavs. An average team statistically. Yeah they beat the crap out of the a young Portland team and and OKC team we beat in 5 games with Ibaka and Harden.

Not really sure where the drama is coming from outside of hype/media playing up Spurs playing well, but they aren't doing anything crazy. Not only that, crazy things can still happen.

You don't have to be confident your team will win to enjoy the games. Yeah, we might not win this year. But that's what makes it so exciting!

You wrote down exactly word for word what Stephan Naismith said on First Take the other day

So the question is

OP are you Stephan Naismith?
Stop being so disrespectful.

We REALLY need to win Game 3- we need to win that game for the doubt to creep into the Pacers, then take game 4 and kill their spirit. they can try to fight it in game 5 but the series would have been decided. we WILL win. The biggest games of this series for us is game 3 and 4. Cant express more how much we need to win it those two games at home. Its really all i care about at this point.

I can forgive you for the first part, but the second....haha Well I at least know why you fear the Spurs so much now :)

Truth is though, Spurs already got taken to 7 games by a meh team. They haven't played a defense in the top 15 of the NBA (OKC without Ibaka was but now they are awful). Meanwhile Heat have been playing some of the best. If the Heat win this series, they will be ready for the Spurs - although maybe tired if it goes 7. Heat play may look uglier and the wins may be closer, but that's actually great in my book as long as we get the wins. Anyone who tries to convince you Spurs are more than marginally better than the Heat is either bias or has an agenda. Skip probably has both.

 because they're beating up on a team who starts THREE dudes who literally struggle to score ONE bucket?

The round before that San Antonio beat up on a team that Miami beat in their house without Lebron James on the 2nd night of a back to back. C'mon son.

I think the notion that you can pencil the Spurs in as NBA champs is laughable. The Wade we see right now is a top 5 player & the heat also have the league's best player.

As it has been stated throughout the entire season, if Wade is healthy the Heat will be champs.

Return to Miami Heat
