Also seeing Brooklyn in the first round wouldn't exactly be a great thing for us either. Its another team that just gives us a tough time.
I understand being concerned but this is the worse Bulls squad in the last few years
Yes they give us trouble but only in the regular season. They always have some fluke win in the mix in the playoffs.
We beat the Bulls when we had our worse squad in 2011, and their best with Rose. Last year it looked bad in the first game but once we take them seriously, they win 4 in a row. I think we can sweep the Bulls this time around if we meet because they are just so undermanned, you cannot last against the Heat like that. If Wade is healthy it's a definite sweep.
Brooklyn though will give ya fits. I can see them shifting into another gear because if their vets and they came together to beat the Heat and have had their eyes on us. Their eyes are going to light up because this is what they have been waiting for since October. I'm glad they traded Terry btw, he is the type to go off on us lol
I always had the opinion that the league over-rates both D. Rose and the Bulls when he is healthy. IMO, the Bulls are more Noah than Rose. Without Noah, the Bulls are not much of the defensive force. Noah is the core of their defense because of the way he can chase from the 3pt line to the paint. You can put any perimeter player around Noah and the Bulls will be ok. Boozer is not a good defender but Noah makes him look respectable. Same with Taj who is more of an athletic freak that shines next to Noah.
Noah is the reason why the Bulls are in every game; he makes their defense. Coach Thibs knows this. IMO, Rose is a very good star player who can score and create. He makes the Bulls a very good playoff team when paired with Noah but I just don't think they have enough with just those two. They've always needed a 3rd scorer to pair with Noah and Rose. They never had it. This is why IMO the Bulls were always over-rated.
Miami can play as good defensively as the Bulls and Pacers. The difference? Bulls could never match the Heat's offensive output. Neither could Indiana. We'll see this season if the Pacers really got that boost on their bench to overcome the Heat offensively.
