Im still butthurt. Even though the Spurs were playing fantastic ball, they didnt get the Heat's best shot. Not even close. Just seemed like everything went their way and nothing was going for us. Was disappointed in Wade but I legitimately hate Chalmers. I can handle his attitude when hes actually contributing but I dont think he did one good thing this series. Whatever though life goes on.....

It was an absolutely disgraceful performance from everybody outside of LeBron.. We looked good in the first two games, after winning game 2 following the cramp game I was sure we had this series..

I don't know wtf happened.. This team needs to get blown up this off-season.. Drastic changes need to be made

Honestly we shouldn't be singling out any players... Everyone not named LBJ played far below their standards.

I am a member at SWF, but I don't really post. More of a lurker. I am more active on smaller, less known smash forums (where most of my friends are), and on my scene's FaceBook page. But I have used SWF as a resource to read up on things (currently all the buzz with Smash 4), and back in the day before I became really active in my scene, I used the forum to find tournaments. :) I was also somewhat active in the board of my character main (Toon Link). As you can tell, I am a Brawl player, so the advent of P:M and revitalization of Melee has put my game through a current drought . I love all smash games. Grew up with 64 and Melee. It is just that Brawl came out when I was older (13). WiFi allowed me to discover the competitive scene, and my interest and competitive drive just grew from there.

Which I just don't get. How can everyone basically suck at the same time on the biggest stage? Ray had his worst game of the postseason in Game 5. No way you slice it getting blown out 4/5 games is just pathetic. Also... I should have known it was a loss when Bosh guaranteed a win, this dude never shows up after talking

The differential in NET ratings for the two teams is yawning--one of the worst in finals history. Just so much awful from so many players on both ends of the court.

Was just taking a look at the 2007 Cavs/Spurs finals and Cavs, with a 22 year old LBJ, big Z, young Andy V., and scrubs galore kept it close in three games (James was actually +4 and +2 in the two losses at home but he could "only" play 46 minutes and the Cavs got outscored in the other two minutes) which is really sad. This Spurs teams is much better, though, even if that Spurs team had a prime Duncan who was a defensive behemoth, but was rather quiet offensively (shut down in the road games in Cleveland). He shot 46% in that 2007 series and 57% in this series. :noway: Rebounding %s were about the same, too. :noway:

The best team won the finals.

I'm proud of a 4th consecutive finals appearance.

We'll be back next season

i kept on looking at our roster to see if anyone played at there standard or better and the only player you can make any argument for is Beasley. He played a little better than his standard but yes the team played bad. How can we have Bosh shooting 5 3 pts in a season ending game when he missed all his 3 pt shot. Just a frustrating loss

I just can't get past how bad we looked. I was shocked really. We looked like the CLEARLY inferior team. Are they that good or have we simply been exposed. LBJ covers up so many flaws. I realize we have no offense at all if folks aren't making their 3-point shots. I feel so sorry for LBJ. This team has morphed into the Cavs. Some serious decisions need to be made. Get ready for the ride!

Exactly. The team was built on three point shooting, which inherently increases variability in results. Excluding Lebron, MIA shot 46% from three in the finals last year and 36% this year and that was a major part of the difference in results. If the Heat weren't red-hot from three last year they would have lost as well.

Word! I've been a fan since I Smash 64 came out when I was little. I have high hopes for Smash 4 so hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

If you're ever on SWF give me a holler! I mod the Smash 4 section and I'm the only person with a Heat avatar so I'm not hard to miss. xD

I'm not really sad or pissed about losing the one championship. We won back 2 back and we will be contenders for quite a few more years.

What buggs me is that we could have threepeated. LeBron, Wade and Bosh would join some really elite company and (maybe) the hater would shup the hell up for at least a month. And Battier could have retired with a threepeat instead of an ugly finals loss. :(

Yeah, that sucked big time. But if they can go to the Finals say 3 more years in a row and win one or two out of 3, they will go down as one of the best trios in the history of NBA. Heck, 6 years in a row, and win 3 out of 6 might be enough.

I truly believe that and I believe that it's doable considering the state of the Eastern conference.
When the pain is gradually relieved, what's left with us will be this amazing achievement of advancing to the NBA Finals 4 years in a row. :)

During the 2010-2014 seasons Heat reached the NBA final 4 times and won it twice.

In the future; all the NBA followers will consider this Heat team to be one of the best rosters ever. Right now majority is underestimating the massive success this team has achieved due to popular jealousy on Heat since they brought In LJ. But when it is all settled down; the facts will silence the haters and this team will be remembered as one of the best ever.

Now the question is; can Heat management make this story last longer by keeping LJ or will they let this fairy tale end.

If the heat go to 3 or the next 4 finals (possible if we retool properly imo) I think this team will be considered an all-time great team just like those lakers/celts teams that traded finals wins/appearances. Going to 7 or 8 finals in a decade is pretty impressive, but I do think we'd have to win at least half of them. If we keep showing up but keep getting beat that won't be a good look.
