Nowhere in that article you posted does it say an actual lebron quote saying strongest option. Just more "my sources say" stuff.
However, I think LBJ is still highly pissed that we amnestied Mike Miller and then didn't replace him with anyone. Who did we sign from the offseason to the Finals that actually helped us? Oden didn't do anything, and Beasley was on the bench. Basically, we lost Mike Miller and didn't add a single piece.
We got weaker and that cost us a 3-peat. I'm sure everytime LeBron thinks about having a 3-peat chance slip away because of the Front Office failure last year.... it makes him pissed.
But in the end, he wants to stay in Miami and just wants Riley to step up his game

The front office "failure" needs to be put into context of what you reasonably expect that they could do but didn't. Miller and Joel Anthony weren't going to help us win another title, though I'm sure it would have made the locker room happy to keep around. What other players could they have gotten within the constraints of the CBA?
The core of our team was built using the old CBA. The new one was crafted by lots of bitter owners in part to keep teams like the Heat from forming in the future and specifically to "punish" the Heat by making it hard to make any moves.
We didn't win it all this year but I wouldn't call last year's moves a failure. They have ultimately given the team much more flexibility this off season to coincide with the opt outs of our major pieces. "Bad teams" generally do short sighted moves that don't pay off then find themselves handcuffed with bad contracts.

How can you say Mike Miller wouldnt help? He didn't help with the first 2 titles? He didn't miss a game all year either, somehow lol. He would've been very helpful and I'm sure LeBron was just as pissed at that , not just because he likes MM. With the way everyone played he probably would've been the 2nd best Heat player in the finals. Atleast he can make a shot when it matters. No way Miller would brick every key shot the way everyone else was doing. Dude is too money.
Like someone else said Mike Miller who was a key piece to Miami the last couple years and was amnestied and replaced with useless pieces who had absolutely 0 impact. SA got better while Miami got worse. It's hard to win that way especially with how close last year was already.
I think Shoeless broken back Mike Miller > Beasley/Oden/Douglas/Rest of heat bench aside from Allen basically.

Exactly. LBJ would be a lot less angry if the Heat hadn't amnestied Miller. If we lost the Finals anyway with Miller, then atleast the Heat can say "there was nothing we could do under the new CBA, no players were out there for us"......... that would be more understandable.
But to lose a player like MM due to financial reasons, and then not use the exception, AND fail to add anyone to replace Miller or help us in any fashion = LBJ is pissed, no 3peat.

For the sake of organization, use an existing thread to post these 1 off random things better suited for a thread already discussing this.
