Which elite defensive bigs are on the market in 2016 to pair with Bosh? That would be epic.

Sure it's a pipe dream ... but so was pairing up Wade with Lebron and Bosh.

I can confidently say that we cannot attract AD AND KD. It won't happen.
Dunno why the NBA doesn't adopt the franchise tag rule from the NFL. Superteams are going to flourish again. Especially with the cap expected to increase that much. It'll be quite easy to create one at that point.

Won't AD be restricted? Or am I crazy? In which case who cares, they'll match anything, doubt he'll even hit the market cause they'll lock him up in a super max extension.

2016 plan: GET A CENTER, we have gone too long w/o a legitimate center. Have to get one in 2016. I look at that list, I want Al Jefferson, the dude is a beast. THen we gotta get a point guard, I see that Conley and Dragic are possible free agents, rather get Dragic, but Conley will probably cost less. 3. Resign wade to a longer but less money per year deal. Maybe a 5 year 60 mil. Close to a Tim Duncan type deal. 4. Get some key role players. Man I would love Batum but hes most likely out of our price range.

Al Jefferson? He's going to get a lot of money in Charlotte. A 31 year old injury prone center is not what we need.
There's a reason why Wade signed for two years. He's going to get a two year Kobe contract in 2016. Full max.

I can't imagine Wade getting that type of money on his next deal, and I'm pretty sure he can't be given a 5 year deal at his age.

There will be no Kobe contract for Wade. I don't know where this idea came from. Look at the Lakers ... paying a player well beyond his ability/production cripples your franchise for years.

Most of the top centers that are FAs in 2016 are around 30 years old. And you dont think every one of those top notch centers will get top money? they are all getting max contracts, we have space for one, so we go get one. Would i like howard or horford? yes but thats less likely. And i dont like Hibbert and Mcgee isnt good enough. And I would hope wade isnt getting a 2 year max deal, we cant sit here like the Lakers and continue to pay him beyond his production. Its just not realistic, we're trying to build a contender here. I'd him give a longer deal for less $ per year.

Yes he is. It only "cripples" the Lakers for two years. He brings fans in seats. Kobe is worth WAY more any contract he's ever received, Same with Wade. It's a thank you contract. This happens if we can't ink any players that can't help us stay as contenders in 2016. Same situation as LA.

Dwyane will be going on 35 in the 2016 season. We can't give him a multi year deal anyway. He'll take less if we can ink a superstar or another player that will get us over the hump, but if it isn't possible, guaranteed we're signing him for a two year max.
Al Jefferson, Goran Dragic, Dwight Howard, Al Horford are all in great situations with their respective teams, why would they want to leave? Kevin Durant might leave OKC to Russell Westbrook but he'd sooner go to a large market or DC to play at home than even glance at being LBJ's shadow down here. I don't mind some down time to rebuild because I know it's going to happen. Nature of the beast. Do I hope I'm wrong and hope we can sign any big names to keep us contenders? Yeah, no ****. But I'm not expecting that.

Lakers fans were buying tickets long before Kobe Bryant.

Al jefferson is in a good situation with the hornets? lol really? that team will make the playoffs but they're not contending ANY time soon. If these FAs see that Miami has cap space, along with bosh, and wade at less money, why wouldnt they want to come here, and again make a team that could win the East. Charlotte, phoenix are not better destinations than Miami, and dont have Pat Riley running the show. Im not saying we're going to get KD but to think that we wont get ANY top FAs after clearing cap space for 2016, is ridiculous. Pat Riley will go out and get one. At least one top FA

Thoughts?
There's also the cap holds.
Between Bosh, Wade (if he doesn't retire), Deng, and McRoberts, they will likely be taking up ~ $50 mil in cap space, and I don't see the cap rising dramatically.

But Wade and Deng will be off the books.
Bosh, McRoberts, Shabazz, and our 2016 first round pick assuming Cleveland gets next year's.
I expect the cap to raise anywhere between 70-80 million.

No not really.
Not just saying it in hindsight but a lot of people thought the 2003 guys would try to play together when they all signed deals with opt outs on the same year. It was thought to be Melo, Lebron, Wade but when Melo signed the longer deal there was rampant speculation for our three guys. That's why so many teams cleared cap space that summer. We had an advantage on those cap clearing teams in that we already had one of the guys.
It was way more likely than Durant and Davis to the Heat
