Spoelstra was a scrub in college and never played in the NBA, yet helped coach some 3 point champions.
Right now this team is trying to get back to it's title strides despite what happened this summer, and it's just strange to add him given the circumstances.
However I just read that he will be working with Dan Craig, as opposed to Spo and Fizdale, and also I think Juwan Howard moved up, along with Keith Smart. So it doesn't really matter as much as I thought it would. The headlines made it seem he was replacing Rothstein or McAdoo, or I misread.
Spo worked his way up in this organization though, which I think is different. I don't even agree with a lot of stuff Spo does, but it took him awhile to get the hang of it and luck. But eh whatever, the players coach themselves anyway these days.
