what I saw was our rookies getting abused on D and on rebounds. Thats good news because something they will learn from. Besides that our 4th quarter strat and rotations needs work. Little to no adjustments in the 4th isnt good. Wade to Bosh turnover was a bad pass, Chalmers drive should have been a foul. Kemba left his feel before Chalmers even put the shot up. Good things are Hamilton is playing decent and settling down more. Still weak on the inside but he is moving his feet well and his length affected the Hornets around the basket.. something we have been missing. If we are going to shoot that many 3's id rather they be in rhythm, some were just bad shots.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

So what happened here? Wasn't able to catch this game. Looks like we desperately need a big body for post defense though.

shot horribly, bad efficiency, bad shots, guards suck, Napier best PG for us, Wade lazy as hell but picks it up in the 4th but we didnt get stops

defense sucked, Hornets are bad offensively, and we lost. It just showed how bad we played

Jefferson killed us just like Howard

Heat came out with no energy. 4 games in 5 nights back to back with 2 Centers we couldn't defend.

There is definitely a lot our guys can learn from our losses both tonight and last night. Our mental breakdowns in that second half against Houston carried over to this game. Coincidentally, we fell apart in the second half again.

The Heat players clearly lost composure late in the game. No other way to explain some of those really careless breakdowns on D, bad fouls, and bad turnovers. Also, our triples, aside from the ones Williams shot, were not falling tonight. When you had Charlotte making life difficult inside to score as they were, you need to make them respect your shot to open up the driving lanes. We could not do that, As a result, Bosh cold not move past Al Jefferson as easily as some of us thought/know he could. As a result, he had to do a lot of work from the perimeter, albeit to the detriment of the team, since Jefferson was pretty much getting guaranteed/close baskets on every other trip down the court (whereas an isolation jumper is definitely the harder shot to hit). At least he still rebounded like a big boy.

That 3 guard rotation...please...no....:|. No more of it lol. Cole right now is not justifying the minutes he is getting as a starter. Don't even get me started on Chalmers. Nappier outplayed both of them.

I like what I see from Hamilton the time he is out there. Can't wait 'till McBob gets healthier and more acclimated to the system.

All in all, there is a lot we can learn form these two losses/could have been victories. This team will definitely grow and challenge the Eastern Conference. I am still not convinced that all of those teams that analysts put in front of us at the beginning of the season are really that much better than us/better at all. Come play off time, it will be a completely different ball game.

Let's go Heat.

We clearly looked like a team on it's 4th game in five nights. A few things though:

- Wade has to pick it up before the 4th quarter rolls around. He can't always expect to get going there while we fall in a hole. With that being said, while we can create the easiest looks for Bosh within our offense, it took us three quarters to constantly get Wade in the post. On this team, people will constantly go under the screen on pick and rolls/pops and dare him to shoot because they know once they give him a drive, it's over. So if Wade's jumper is off like it was tonight, those are not gonna cut it if we want him to score. He often times makes the right pass, but when the team is struggling, that doesn't help.

- When we face guys like Howard or Big Al, start Hamilton ahead of Williams instead of watching Bosh and Williams get abused in the post. Bosh is not a good post-defender, he has other qualities defensively, but the post is probably his biggest weakness. Hamilton did a good job against Big Al and it allows us to play him straight up. Several of their perimeter players had a field day cutting back door on us because we had to throw a second defender at Big Al and our second rotation was late.

- Cole and Chalmers really need to stop their tunnel-vision basketball. Once they have the ball, they'd have to be crowded to give it up again. Chalmers messed up a big possession with a stupid drive by his late in the game.

With that being said, I'm not too worried about this loss. Like I said, we looked like a team that had just played its 4th game in five nights, that won't happen too often (if at all again) this season.

^ Passive until the 4th quarter. Had 12 points in the 4th quarter by being aggressive so that leads me to believe that he and the rest of the team were trying to conserve energy and tired.

I truly believe that this team is as good as they were when 3-0 because the offense looks night and day from then and I attribute it to fatigue.

Wade and Bosh play really good off each other, can't wait to see how they look towards the end of the season. Missing a center with size and a true PG is really hurting us though. Napier can't develop soon enough.

I think we did pretty well with the resources we had. I think it's early days still, just like when we were 3-0. There is a lot of time for the team to develop. That's why we aren't push McRoberts onto the court before he is ready. Andersen too for that matter.

Lol at Monroe? 23-18 tonight. Nah, who needs that.

Sigh. My lol isn't about Greg Monroe 's quality. Monroe is currently making $5.5M. He wants to make significantly more. If we had cap space (suppose we didn't resign Chalmers & Andersen), we might have been able to make an offer, but Detroit could match it and keep him. We have no trade assets except Norris Cole so that wasn't a possibility. It's easy to find great players to sign, but roster spaces and $$$ are a problem. I prefer to have Deng instead of Monroe.

Also, when you play for a bad team, you will get more shot opportunities and rebound. Right?

Here is what we did:

We used Bird rights to sign Chalmers, Bosh, and Wade. I would not have resigned Chalmers after the Finals performance. I think most everyone here would not have. It's a lot easier for us than Riley or Spo though. They see Mario as part of the core of the team.

We used the room MLE (we were below tax threshold) to sign Haslem. The limit is 5.3M which is less than Monroe's salary, so that wasn't an option. Whether it was wise or not to spend 5.3M on Haslem depends on how much importance you give to loyalty. I don't expect Haslem to play much. I do think his being there is a factor for Wade & Bosh to remain though.

We did have cap space: ($23M)

Deng: (2 years) $9.7M per year
McRoberts: (4 years) $5.3M per year
Andersen: (2 years) $5.4M per year
Granger: (2 years) $2M per year
Ennis: (3 years) $0.5M per year

I think this wasn't bad.

Anyway, my point is, unless you want to lose Luol Deng, you didn't have an option to sign Monroe.

both Bosh and Wade in their postgame interviews cited the 4 games in 5 nights

I think we bounce back, I don't know about the Mavs game though

Starting to see why Heat love vets so much actually... they do less mistakes, understand the game a bit more. With rookies, especially defensively (lots of bad fouls), it can slow down a game and mess up our flow.

It'll just take time
