Good win, Williams can score, decent defense and should see consistent PT, even if it's min

Btw- I thinks that's Whitsides picture at the start of the Heat App

Well I'm glad we're playing better defensively, and hopefully Spo's finally realized that although Napier has turnover issues at times and isn't hitting many shots at the moment, that he's light years ahead of 'Rio and Cole in the offense running department. He had an impact on the game tonight without shooting it well, and that's not something you see from rookies as often. Bosh was phenomenal, and Deng stepped up big time. Very nice win if you ask me.

Had work in the morning so I couldn't catch the late game again. Recap anyone? Why did Whiteside play so few minutes?

Road refs picking on him in the first few minutes of game. Those ticky tack fouls will be non calls at home. His presence just being on the court in the second half helped us close out. It was a great close out to the road trip.

He only had 3 fouls tho, compared to Haslems' 4. Who guarded Boogie most of the time, Bosh? Only 17 points from him sounds as a success.

And I see Shabazz was producitve, nice. I may watch this game tonight if I get the time.

The best play of the night for Whiteside was not a dunk or a block, but a steal off DeMarcus Cousins that set off a fast break in which Whiteside acted as a pure PG going the length of the floor while on stride ditching the ball to Bosh for an easy layup.

Hassan "Magic" Whiteside? 8-)

The Great White has a good form on his FTs. I think he can be a 70% FT shooter

its a sticky situation with that

we need help on the bench, only 2 who can do that is Bazz and RIo

Bazz will have to help the 2nd unit, I dont see them suddenly putting rio has back up PG or something, that'd mean Cole-Rio back court....

They should just start Cole again maybe... and give him 10 mins a game

Cole is being benched for Bazz now, THANKS SPO!!!

Bazz-Wade would probably end the game, or Rio-Wade tho for familiarity, we'll see

I think you should start the game with your best unit that IMO is Napier, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Whiteside. This unit could be a defensive nightmare because guys are LONG and Napier has shown to be a very good defensive PG. Also Napier and Wade can be a godsend to Whiteside with lobs and ball movement. Let's assume the opposition tries to stop Napier's entry passes or lobs to Whiteside, then a pass to Wade to the weakside would open up either an attack caving the D towards Wade and creating a lane for Whiteside, a lob/dunk due to a smaller out of position guy covering Hassan, or a Wade finish.

And this is not taking into consideration Bosh and Deng outside shooting or around the rim play.

IMO always start the game with the best lineup and rotate as needed, like for example, take out Wade and bring Rio to play SG, sub Napier to bring in Wade and either have Rio or Wade as PG...etc, etc, etc.

This will put pressure on the opposition from the start, not halfway to the game.

Pretty good job on this road trip went 3-2 not bad at all although we could've went 4-1 if spo would've played Whiteside more in that Portland game smh

Right on point. With that unit we put so much pressure on defenses to protect the rim that it opens up so many easy opportunities elsewhere. That was always the problem with the Turd Quarter, the fact that we couldn't generate any easy offense through any bread and butter sets. Now it's as simple as a guard probing after a Whiteside pick.

He started the game 2 fouls in 2 minutes. they were bad fouls as well, he sat and played some in the 2nd and got another foul. He did nothing in the 1st half and Spo cited he was complaining about the refs in the locker room at half time and Spo just said we are trying to win a game and just come out and play your game. Well we make a huge run in the 3rd with him, he is still blocking shots and blocking jumpshots, he ran the fast break and gave it to Bosh for a lay up lmao that was funny. He looked like himseld in the 2nd half. Heat continued to blow out Kings without him so he didn't play in the 4th.

Now the Kings are bad and without Rudy Gay but it was good to see our team still control the pace of this game and wanted the win. Kings are awful though, their defense is the worse I've seen this year. All our guards could actually penetrate inside like nothing.

It haunts me

We will never know how that game would have been if he wasn't so stubborn. He learned now but... It was common sense at the time smh

What's funny is Heat were making a run when he came back in the 4th, but Portland already got their rhythm back. What also sucks is Lillard was having an off game for the most part. That game was winnable smh
