Why can't Cole be good?

Because he has no above average NBA quality. He can't shoot, can't pass, can't dribble and can't defend. In fact he doesn't even know how to inbound the ball. This makes it impossible to put him in any thinkable situation where he can contribute to the team in a positive matter and therefore he can't be good. It's impossible.

Will we be able to acquire an average NBA point-guard and back up swing before next season without loosing any of the few net positive player we have on the current roster?

Doubtful because outside of Deng/Birdman/Napier/Bosh... we have no real trade assets. We could do a cole/granger/Williams/2107 first right to swap for Lin...

Why did we sign such a crappy bench when there were better players available at similar prices?

I guess you never know how things are going to work out. Maybe like Cole they needed a change in venue. I hope Danny Granger doesn't put 17 points on us when the Suns come to Miami in a few weeks.
