Beasley

Post#821 » by Riley is God » Sat Jul 4, 2015 6:50 pm

Im sure this gets locked or moved but i feel it deserves its own thread. Why in the world does anyone want him back, he is awful. Terrible defender, black hole on Offense (cannot play within any type of system). Beasley is a fun interesting guy and i get that but why anyone is clamoring to get him back is perplexing to me. Not to mention he took a parting shot as us on his way out. Id much rather take a chance on developmental guy and roll the dice. We all know what Beasley is (or isn't) at this point in his career

I used to be irritated @ Beasley but the more i debated with Beasley fans the more i realized it wasn't really Beasley more than it was his fans who continue to makes excuses for him spite of his very many failures. It baffled me and still does. I mean even today people say his 3rd stint w/ us wasn't a failure.....lol, really? So we take him back for the 3rd time (out of desperation, AGAIN, mind you) and AGAIN we cut him because of pretty much the same issues and it's not a form of failure for Michael? I will never comprehend the lack of common sense from Beasley fans (whom i usually call Beasley Tards but i don't wanna step on any more feet here :D )

Q: Given the Heat's need for youth, athleticism and players who can create their own shot, I am shocked we gave up on Michael Beasley. Plus he was a fan favorite, a minimum salary and Pat Riley has a motivation for loyalty and "making things work." Will we ever know specifically why the Heat lost complete faith in Michael? -- Stone, New York.

A: I don't think there is any deep mystery, nor has any specific incident come to light. I think it was part of a bigger picture of remodeling the outskirts of the roster with those with a fresher outlook. Ultimately, it came down to what Beasley can do, what the Heat thought they needed, and the maturity level they desired from such a role. There are many players in this league who can score, but also many not good enough to stay on the court because of the rest of their games. Michael ultimately fell into that group for the Heat.

I've always stated & reiterated the question, in the many debates i've had about Beasley "When will Beasley fans ever get it???"......But evidently they never will!!! We could bring him back 25 more times and cut him 25 more times and people will still say the exact same sh*t over and over again and continue to welcome him back :banghead:
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I am not a Beasley fan yet i do not believe you can get a better pf in this league for a million dollars (or thereabouts). He will never be a star (or even a key starter), but you have to adjust your expectations imo. Min contract guys are generally fringe bench players, and Beasley gets you 15pts 6 reb per 36 min, he was also solid (or at least not very bad) defensively last year, what more can you realistically ask of your 10th-15th roster space player? If he's a cancer off the court or in the locker room, then I get cutting him, but if he's not... I liked him better than Ennis/Walker last year.

Beasley on the Pacers makes too much sense right now.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Isn't he actually super cool?

On topic though, maybe we should lock this thread. Since everytime I see this thread up top, I think we just re-signed him .. yet again :o
