^ Naw I'd definitely take 08-09 Wade over 05-06 Wade. He was just a more complete player in 09.

05-06 wasn't even his best year. That's 08-09. It's his fault he sucks from three. He's unstoppable at just about everything else. Remember, the ratings are benchmarked by all time greats. Lebron is the best SF to every play, so naturally his rating will be higher than most. Wade's benchmark is Kobe and MJ. I'm willing to bet if you took away 3pt rating, he'd be right there with Kobe and mj in 2k rating. But again, 08-09 was his best year, not 05-06.
Statistically yes it was his best year but that's because he was finally injury free and he was playing with a bunch of scrubs. The offence was run through him at all times.
Back in 06 you can argue he was even more athletic with the same exact skill set. He didn't have to take as many shots or threes. He played within the teams system since he had a good supporting cast. Personally I take 05-06 and first half of 06-07 wade over back in shape 08-09 wade.
09 Wade had an elite mid-range game and was better defensively compared to 06 Wade. 09 Wade was getting DPOY considerations. Yes, he had more responsibility on both ends, but he was able to mitigate/avoid injury while taking such a load because his game was alot more diverse, while retaining the same levels of athleticism, with slightly decreased quickness.
