Is preseason, so I'm still on chill mode.

Forget that it's preseason, its the kids first year. He's not going to come out the gates looking like the next great star.

No ones really talking about it, but Josh Richardson is one smooth operator. Was very impressed with his game yesterday.

Not sure why some of you are so adamant about Winslow's shooting woes.

-Season hasn't even started so he still needs time to get his legs under him before we can really judge his true shot.

-Hypothetically if his shot was B grade range and it was well known, there's absolutely NO WAY he would have dropped to 10. It was well documented that his shot is choppy (but it's still better than what he's showing for sure).

We've seen that he can get into the paint very easily/has the knack for drawing fouls already, is a decent play-maker, great rebounder for a rookie guard and we already know he's a defensive beast. So he's virtually above average at every facet of the game as a 19 year old rookie, also his ball-handling is a lot better than what I thought it'd be.

When the shot comes, you are literally looking at an all-star caliber player.

TJ ain't better than Napier bro, if anything they are on the same level.

TJ is much better for "this team " than Napier. Neither will ever be an all star but Napier was not a good match for this team. The funny thing is that last night game confirmed it for me. Watching Napier in College and throughout his NBA career so far, he is a ball dominate guard. He is best when the offense goes through him. That is not how the heat play even with their second unit. The only player the Heat ever allowed to that was LBJ and maybe Hardaway(occasionally). This is why he clashed with Spo last year. TJ on the other hand is use to not having the ball in his hands because he is SG by nature. TJ moves well without the ball and knows how to cut and make his self available for the pass out of the post if they collapse down low.

caliban wrote:What happened to Ennis legs this summer? Either he skipped the leg days or he's having some serious knee-pain. No lift and zero lateral quickness. Thought he made some strides last season, had checked off some of the defensive boxes in his development and was looking forward to see if he could find some 3 to that D but nope. Unfortunately it looks like his showing in Summer League was indicative of his progression.

Not high on this Magic team. Think they got a longer way to go then some give them credit for. Many ill-fitting pieces.
