Slow start, but Winslow/McRoberts/Bosh helped build a double digit lead by the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Pacers caught up once Miami started playing poor defense and stopped moving the ball well. Game was tight through the fourth quarter thanks to some nice plays by McRoberts/Winslow/TJ, but ultimately they lost by 3. Last play was really weird where Winslow inbounds the ball to Wade who took a fadeaway 3 to try to tie.

Oh also PG went ham.

So McBob finally came around, huh?

Yeah, I saw the gif of that last play ... is it just me or was Bosh suppose to be #1 option there, but Winslow panicked and went with Wade?

I'd like to think that Spo is not drawing up Wade-3's as the final play, so yeah, I think something may have wrong there :(

I watched the play over several times and I really think Dragic was setting the screen for Bosh, but he was a little slow setting it so Winslow went with Wade ... albeit a little to fast.

Oh well, I'll watch the game replay this evening. And then, on to the next one.

Had time to digest this loss. Just too many mistakes were made.

Thank you for the vid ! You can see that his body is ready for the NBA. Love his post-game, to be honest i think it's good thing that he has a great/good range at 3 because he could be in love too much with it so i prefer to see him not so far from the basket for easy buckets, he has a great advantage. He has time to work on his long distance jumpshot !

Rewatching the game on NBATV right now, the defense in the first half was great. I wonder how we'll look if Green returns

The way Wade talks, it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't aggressive all night long. He quit on the thought of having a good night before the game even started. It kills us when he isn't aggressive, especially on the pick-and-roll. That doesn't necessarily mean score all the time or take plenty of shots, but just probe the defense, challenge the big man guarding the roller and force him to really guard you.

This is one thing that's been pissing me off about Wade as he has gotten older. It seems like some games, he sees them on the calendar, it's a tough back-to-back or something along those lines and he mails them in before the game has even started. I understand it was a tough game physically, flying from Miami to Minneapolis, then to Indiana and play again, but if you check out of a game before the tip-off, you might as well not suit up at all.

Had he had like a 15-16 point night with a couple of more buckets, this could've easily been a win.

Still pro-Deng because he is still a good IQ/defensive player, but I'm starting to notice how slow/unathletic he is lol. His off ball movement isn't really effective at the pace we're playing right now. Ball movement would probably be better with a faster/more explosive player. Ennis is a decent slasher/passer but IQ/defense might not be worth it. Deng's shooting/defense and IQ makes him worth a damn, but the ball is sticking way too much in the starting line-up. I don't know if Winslow could stop all these slow starts and bad ball movement but I think Deng would probably be better playing more with our bench. Slow starts have cost us a few losses already (could've been another v. Houston), not sure if we should think anything of it yet

He is a coach who has a reputation as a decent coach solely on the fact that his players have won him games/championships DESPITE the coaching, not because of it.

He isn't going to make a good team very good, nor a bad team decent. In fact, I am inclined to say that his coaching has significant negative impact on the team causing them to underachieve.

He never inspires a team. Never has outcoached a coach with any sort of repute. He is static, never changes his gameplan or tactics on the fly. He is stubborn about his philosophies, he makes the same mistakes over and over again and realizes is when its too late. He isn't capable of noticing the ebbs and flows of the game, he isn't able to notice the unpredictable, the spontaneous situations that occur during games to counter it. His rotations don't make any sense, they are robotic and more often than not destroy the flow of the game.

I'm sorry but he isn't a coach that can lead a team without a legit top 5 player or 2 to a championship. If you wanna hover around the 43-48 games with a good team then he's the guy, but if want to climb the mountain, he's not it.

I totally agree with this point of view, in fact in my opinion the only mistake on Riley's resume is giving this guy the reigns of the team, to me it was a bad call, this team will always underachieve with Spo at the helm, no doubt in my mind about it, i did not have to wait 3 years or what not in order to realize it, but anyways this is what we have and what we are at present time.
