Not really, there's still time. Four titles and more importantly another one post LeBron would really cement his legacy regardless of how many FMVP's he has.

I mean how much does that award really mean? In 06 Wade put on one of the greatest if not the greatest finals performance of all time. Conversely Kawhi Leonard and Andre Iguodala have also won a FMVP when in reality they were just role players who helped slow LeBron down.

Yea but to win one with Lebron on your team... Plus his numbers were insane

The reality is that even had we won in 2011 with Wade being the FMVP, people looking back would still give the credit to LeBron (even despite how poorly he had played). When people talk about 2006, the credit is either incorrectly given to the refs or to Shaq (LOL).

Wade's legacy is set. F*ck what anybody else thinks.

Not just Wade, but winning the title right away, in that season, would've been epic. The hatred was so insane and we had so many crazy moments that year, I'm still pissed we didn't win it all.

I'm more pissed that Wade got hurt in 2005 and we ended up losing to Detroit in the ECF. I would've taken a match-up with the Spurs that year with Wade playing out of his mind as well.

I am upset about that as well. We were up 3-2, Wade is hurt and we didn't go through with it. To make the Finals after Shaq came and face off against the Spurs would have been epic.

Its one of those "the one that gotta way" feeling. Plus in the last 11 years it would be 6 Finals appearances... thats an incredibly accomplishment and Wade would be in all of them. Back to back Finals appearances counting 05 and 06 too.

I would rather win in 2011 when everyone hated our guts, as opposed to who was FMVP. Though yes Wade would have won it and Lebron would be tainted with "carried by Wade for his first ring", his biggest critics would have been all over it.

We were so close but that team had so many lessons to learn. It just sucks. That game 2 is the first and only game I ever felt sick to my stomach. I just knew we couldn't recover after that. Wade played his ass off while Lebron was scared after that. I tried to defend Lebron back then but in reality he messed it all up. He had to experience that I guess to then win back to back but it was hard to go through.

Would be nice to get another shot at a ring in the Wade era, as of now 2011 is the only reason imo the post-MJ SG rankings are Kobe 1. and Wade 2. Winning that championship and getting Finals MVP with the supposed best player in the world on your team would have put him on even playing field with Kobe, but we all know what happened.

i dont see how people could give credit to LeBron even though Wade was clearly the better player in that series. Doesnt make sense.

Wade will be viewed as the best player heading to next season. LeBron's rep takes a hit... a big one. & what Prince Ali said.

IIRC, that scenario happened regardless around that time. People were rightfully s***ting on LeBron and gave Wade tons of credit.

However, another banner on the rafters and another Finals MVP for Wade would had been GLORIOUS. And I agree with Sign5, f*** LeBron.

I am seriously considering making this my signature. But then I know all it will do is invite more conversations about LeBron :noway:

So many what if's man. Just imagine, what if we had that 2008-2011 Wade on this current team right now, like yo we gon give GSW the biz

We win that '11 Finals in 6 or even 5 if we didn't choke Game 2. Ugh, still surprised we still were actually up 2-1 but yes **** lebron, **** mike bibby, and **** lebron again for being Shawn Marion's ****

People still say the Heat won in 2006 because of Shaq.

He doesn't have enough left to carry the team to June. Think of all the games he'll have played that season just to get Miami in contention after three different playoff-caliber teams, nearly 21 games, and a Western Conference juggernaut. Those days are over. On top of that, who's Miami's third option? Wade doesn't win that series in '06 without Antoine Walker playing his best basketball of the season.

Bron bombed the '11 Finals on purpose so he wouldn't win his first ring under the shadow of Wade /s

That would have been an epic matchup. Shaq versus Duncan. Wade versus Ginobili/Parker. What could have been. That Pistons team was very well put together, and we had them. We had them! Wade's legacy will be marred with injuries. At his peak, he's the best two guard I've ever seen. Props to MJ, but I wasn't a fan when he was at his absolute peak. I caught him when he was more of a jump shooter.
