Much like w/ Lebron....Spite of any bitterness (and i'm sure there are some) Riles would rather choose to display integrity. I'm sure Riles hasn't forgotten the way both Shaq & Lebron left but he'll honor them both anyway by retiring both their jerseys. But we all know within our walls he thinks they're both douche cakes
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Hate this move, like others have said, it diminishes the honor.

Only Zo, Wade, Bosh, and LeBron deserve number retirements.

Tim and Shaq were not good enough for long enough while they were here.

What an incredibly classy move by Micky and Pat to do this even though I don't think Shaq deserves it.

Now, he DID bring a ton of excitement when he first arrived and was a big part of the 2006 championship team, but his terrible leadership after that was the main reason for the franchise's downfall after that.

He just stopped caring and eventually became a larger-than-life locker-room problem after 2006.

He deserves to have it retired in Orlando more than Miami; he gave them 4 amazing years and, along with Penny, put that team on the map and made them instant contenders.

I thought this might take a bit longer, but I can dig it... man. That move brought us some real notice.

Ended a bit ugly, but those first 3 years were pretty damn good. Should have been MVP that first year with us.

When will we retire Beas Jersey?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
