I voted 1 but now I think we're worse. OP should have had the 0 option with the consequences for Pooh-based Satanic worship.

I think the offseason was doomed and decided when Bosh went down the 2nd time. It pretty much raised Deng's value for us not being able to keep him and Joe wasn't really thinking of us long term. I think it also played a huge role in why they went with a different direction with Wade. Can't bring anybody down here if you have 24 million tied up with a player with life threatening conditions. I rather not have the Heat spend on this current free agent market. To assemble a championship team you essentially need some players playing for bargain or under their true value. The cap spike is making it super hard for that to happen if Bismack Biyombo is getting 16-18 mill annually. We HAVE to more of an emphasis on the draft while we can before the PHX pick debt sets in. We could end up like the Nets where we completely bottom out when the picks are owed and it kills everything. Get rookies, Dleague, and undrafted free agents and have them on their rookie deals while also controlling their free agencies. It's the most valuable asset right now.

Miami has now had All-Star/Franchise players Zo and Bosh go down while the team was looking to be in contention, with non-injury illnesses (kidney, blood clots). Has any other team had that happen to this calibre player twice, or even once in the last twenty years? I mean, I know some teams get smacked with the injury bug hard (e.g. portland), but i cant really think of another team off the top of my head that copped these unexpected illness issues with this level of player. Im probably forgetting an obvious one or two

Solid 6. It was never going to be easy to breakup. But the team we had wasn't really fitting together. We're set up to grow our youth, and still have the flexibility to chase players who can get us championships. Tough offseason, but after we lost out on Durant, we made the right decisions I think.

Flashpoint wrote:Seriously? It's a 0. You would be kidding yourself to believe otherwise. Messy divorce with the greatest player in your history and no significant move forward which comes close to compensating for that. That's a zero.

It wasn't time for Miami to make a significant move right now. Too many unanswered questions as to what this group is. Is it worth adding to or should it be broken up (mainly talking about the Dragic, Bosh, Whiteside big 3).

Miami put a lot of chips on the table a few years ago by bringing in Dragic to try to extend the run with Wade and Bosh. But due to health it wasn't meant to be.

let's not go throwing around big 3.

That's a smedium 3 at best

Voted 1 only because they retained Hassan...would have abstained for lack of a 0 otherwise
