He was better then Green as a rookie, come on now mod Quiz

You've never heard of a rook peaking early user Rex?

Thread is talking about his Ceiling, saying Danny Green is saying Rich will never improve since Green just defends well and shots 3's, both Rich already did at a high level (better then Green did this year).

What I'd like to see Rich do a lot more of this year is something Green never does - create his own shots, mid range pull ups and getting to the FT line. That's what separates high level role players from all-star caliber players.

I like the Eddie jones and Wes Matthews comps so far. Can see him as a 15-17 ppg defensive stopping two guard who shoots 38% from 3 at his peak. Looks like someone who can play on a really good team in time. Quiz is right about his defense though. Needs to pay more attention to detail. Got exposed a bit against the raptors. He definitely needs to work on his ball handling and passing as well.

When comparing Winslow and JRich defensively, Winslow is definitely the more disciplined defender and he makes little to no mistakes on that end (which is incredible at his age). But I definitely see Rich being the better help defender with steals and blocks. I can't wait to see these guys in their primes playing together.

Danny Green is an absolutely elite defender who, along with Kawhi contributed to a historically great San Antonio defense. I love our rookies but the overrating needs to stop. By no metric was Richardson a better defender than Danny Green.

Danny Green had the far better DRTG, DWS, DBPM, etc.

Green scored 10 PPG per 36 and shot 33% from 3 this year, was referring to that.

Saying J-Rich ceiling is Danny Green is saying J-Rich practically peaked as a ball player in the second half of his rookie season.

It's possible, but I'm more optimistic then that.

Green had a down year, he's usually one of the best 3&D guys in the league.

Without improving much as a player, Richardson will be a Matthews-type of player, but if he continues to improve his playmaking like he has shown this preseason, he will be a star in this league, instead of a glorified role player.

Also, I can see Richardson being a perennial 40%+ 3P player, unlike Matthews and Eddie Jones.
