Honestly if not for Whiteside we'd be getting blown out in every game this season.
It's not like Love didn't win the crappy T-Wolves 42 games.
I'm not insulting Hassan I'm just saying with the numbers that he's putting up if someone were to trade for him that fanbase would be asking themselves why he isn't averaging 20 15 and 3 like he did in Miami. In the same way that the Cavs thought that they were getting a 26 and 12 super star. Hassan can really only put up those numbers on a team full of scrubs like this one.
Except he didn't. When love averaged 20 and 15 rebounds the wolves won 17 games, the next season when he averaged 26 and 13 the wolves won 26 games. The year the Wolves won
40 games he averaged 26 and 13, however his cast was formidable and blows this roster out the water and it's not even close.
Rubio a real PG who averaged 9 assists that season (imagine Hassan with Rubio alone). Then he had Kevin Martin who averaged 19ppg, Pek who averaged 18 and 9 and Brewer 12ppg solid defense, rookie Derrick Williams, Dieng and JJ barea. So that statement is inaccurate. It's no surprise that when Cavs play Frye/Thompson in place of Love that they don't miss a beat sometimes even improve. If you plug Whiteside on another team he may not produce the same numbers but I'm confident his impact will still show (at least greater into comparison with Love)for the simple fact that Whiteside is averaging these numbers when he's virtually treated as the 3rd option on this team while Love was the clear cut 1st option.
