Bro, I've seen plenty of games where GORAn DRAGIC gave lackluster effort in a loss. Hassan's fine man. Wasn't his night. They just played last night. Why not blame the perimeter defenders who are allowing a sixer guard to drive freely to the paint every other play. Idk what game some of y'all are watching sometimes
Heat defensive scheme actually requires perimeter defenders to rush shooters off the 3 point line at all costs and allow them to penetrate where Hassan and other bigs challenge their shots. Entire Heat defense is based on perimeter players funneling shooters toward bigs in the low post. The 1st priority is to stop 3 pointers and Heat defense is doing that at an elite level (top 4 in opponent three point %).
I get that man, but there's a difference between getting beat and funneling guys into the paint. Someone like McConnell isn't scaring you from the 3pt line, no one needs to chase him off. He was constantly in the paint. I think last night was a combination of playing a back to back and the other team just trying harder. Overall our defense wasn't where it should've been last night. I just think it shouldn't all fall on Hassan. He has a tough task defensively. Other guys could've done more to contribute towards a win. They just played better which isn't surprising cause that team always plays hard
I agree.
