What a beat down, expected. They've been on fire lately. Sticking with the positives tonight: Bam has worked and polished his game. Encouraging. If he can add a 3-ball to his game around the basket he'll hold up as a 4 aside Whiteside. JRich hit something.

Might be time to move on from- and sell high on Whiteside this summer in favor of a ball handling upgrade.

Lol. Yep, him riding the bench for weeks was the defining factor in how he played today. You grow in game situations. He’s shown talent since summer league but has been inexplicably benched due to a stubborn coach. You’re trying way to hard to defend a coach that has vastly underachieved when he hasn’t had a prime mid 20’s lebron on his team that’s shown he can carry any coach

Me defending Spoelstra? That's a good one.

Bam has been pretty raw and understandably so. He didn't look like this in the few spurts he's played.

After this game Spo relegated him back to spurts. I was puzzled. How to you expect anyone to get into any type of rhythm getting lucky to get 4-5 min a game if that? This is the first game since the 13/13 game that Spo has given Bam any sort of real minutes. This is the result. Now the question is does Spo reward him or plants him back on the bench until next month.

Consider who would be around him. We have a spacing issue already and it's why we nabbed Olynyk. But KO is such a bad help defender, lol. If Bam could stroke it from downtown, he'd take over Olynyk's position and be shipped out.

Big men tend to do well against Minny I think.

Well um....

Pace
22nd Miami = 98.7
28th Memphis = 97.4

Off Efficiency
24th = Memphis
25th = Miami

You're kidding right? It's worse than Miami.

Higher pace doesn't equate good offense/team...Suns, Lakers, and Nets are leading the league in pace.

Miami takes a lot of "smart shots"...they take a bunch of 3's and shots at the rim. Their offensive problems are that they turn the ball over too much, don't offensive rebound, and don't get to the line.

You asked how they play boring and slow.... I told you.

You need high Iq all around to play fast and still be good.

You'll be saying the same thing about Bam is 3 years time when him getting 13/13 is considered below average.... You guys just expect too much out of Hassan. Spo doesn't play to his advantages, runs an awful offense, and Hassan is the only player on the team that gets punished for poor performances. Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow don't see a decrease in playing time when they're playing awful, which is pretty much every game, they actually get rewarded with starting spots.

Didn’t watch this game but I saw Bam’s highlights. If he doesn’t get consistent PT after this then I’m going to be outside of his house with a pitchfork for a 1 man angry mob.

It's been like that since 2015. He's been the common denominator of scapegoats when when things go bad with this team. Even though he's only one of 3 players with a positive RPM on the Heat, while his general impact numbers are among the best on the team.

Whiteside's attitude and I is also a problem. When he gets frustrated, he quits. The guy show have gotten 25 and 20 with Love guardian him. Richardson and Winslow's poor performance bear no impact on Whiteside's average numbers.

If I recall correctly Winslow got pulled against Denver after 13 minutes of play, so to say he isn't "punished" for poor performances isn't true, nor is it true he plays poor every game. He had a string of pretty good games leading up to last night. Richardson is another story, TJ too.

Guys are not seeing the core issues. Hassan's not a scapegoat, this is an hover-around .500 team-- They're not underachieving but Hassan has some glaring issues... At what point do we acknowledge that? When he's a liability in the Playoffs or his contract value runs its' course?

What are people scapegoating him for? Losing games we're supposed to lose or his lack of effort/production?

Looks like hes worried about any collision on his knee. I can clip flaws on every player on this squad, we may as well blow up it all up right?

Fans are bashing Whiteside because he pouts when he isnt getting passed the ball for easy looks. When I watch opposing feeds, all you hear is "Whiteside wide is open" only for heat players to swing it to the other side of the perimeter. No one on this team can make simple passes, that would frustrate me too. Especially when you shooting near 60% getting limited shots and others are getting more, clanking inefficient stepbacks.

We're top 3 in 3pt Attempts yet are a mediocre 3pt shooting team as whole. You dont replicate GSW/ poormans Houston if your personnel isn't getting it done. We rely heavily onwings to hit the 3 but they're all struggling except Ellington which is why the Heat look better with him on the floor.

Olynyk is nice offensive player but is terrible defemsively and would benefit with a defensive minded big, yet Spo continually has him as back up C, he needs to go.

Can't hide from the eventual

Thompson was inserted into the starting lineup on March 18 against Atlanta as Varejao continued to recover from a fractured wrist. He recorded seven points and six rebounds. The turning point of his season came in the following game against New Jersey, when he posted a 27-point, 12-rebound performance in a 105-100 road win.
