Glad to be back in the playoffs. Don’t want Cleveland, so here’s to hoping the Sixers end up 3rd which is unlikely.

As a hypothetical; say Dallas ended up with the 7th pick. Would they deal it for Hassan?

Assuming that the Spurs would rather reload with a draft pick than take on Hassan, would you do:

JRich
Pick 7
Bam/Winslow

For Kawhiness?

Good trade. Basically a rebuild package for Spurs. But Spurs/rebuild dont really align in their field lol.

Probably the bigger question is, would they.

Spurs have to rebuild at some point. The option is there - either get a lotto pick for Hassan and include it in the trade, or they take on Hassan and hope he and LMA (along with the Spurs other pieces) keep them in that 50 win bracket while Pop coaches.

This is true.

They got a aging Gasol (injured?) Dont even know, Aldridge isnt getting any younger. And the old squad in Tony/Gino.

Only way if they trade Kawhi for another star player with picks involved.

Dallas probably says no, yeah. But if they weren't enamored with a prospect around the 7-8 range and you're Dallas, do you try see if you can get the best out of Hassan? His best is very good, he just doesn't bring it consistently enough. Here.

Smith Jr, Barnes and Hassan isn't a terrible 1/3/5 combo with hopeful upside from DSJ.

Hmm I doubt it...they need more young talent to pair with Smith Jr if they're really committed to this rebuild. Even if they don't like anyone at 7, they could use that pick to trade for a young player. Not that Hassan is old, but he's much older than Smith Jr.

Plus if they really wanted to, they could just sign DeAndre in the offseason to get a similar type player without giving up picks

All fair points Chalms. I guess it just depends how impatient Cuban gets?

Only other team I could see trading for Hassan in the lotto is probably the Knicks tbh.

If Dallas is out of tank mode by next season, they may be interested, but they'll hold onto that lottery pick with an iron-grip. Maybe there's other stuff they'd give, but I'm not too familiar with their players.

Seems like another problem with sending Hassan to a lottery team is that there's a lot of bigs in the draft this year (from the little I've read about the draft), so most teams would opt for drafting a big instead of trading for an expensive vet.

Bro, it takes some balls to look at our roster, then call up the Spurs saying they need to rebuild
