melo can play for a contender with his buddy cp3 and harden, or play in miami with dragic and whiteside.

Since it's melo tho, this decision will be more difficult than it need be lol.

If a deal goes down, that's the deal that will be made. OKC shaves off an immediate 60 million off their future tax bill, we dump TJ's poison pill years. At the price of Winslow. Maybe we can get a future second rounder as well. But that's what it's gonna be if it goes down.

That seems way more favorable to Okc

What's the incentive for using a young player to dump TJ's contracts right now? Miami's not going to have that much cap space next summer

Those numbers are not correct. With the current roster, the Thunder are looking at 150 million in taxes this season and 3 million in taxes next season.

After doing the proposed trade, they're looking at 136 million this season and 67 million next season. So they're spending 50 million more.

Yea, we have never cleared space for stars before.
:noway:

You act like its something we did with regularity  it literally happened (with success) one time. You think we're going to be the only team with cap space in two years?

I don't like Waiters at all, but he could actually be good off the bench because he can at least get to the rim.

I hate to say it but if the grand plan is 2020 free agency we will probably have better luck if we bottom out for a draft pick this year. In today's climate, "it's Miami" is not a selling point for superstar FA's. These guys just want to play with their buddies. A guy like AD is not coming here alone with this cast.

A lot of those 2020 names don't look that hot anyways (Milsap, Lowry, etc). Davis is special, but peli would be mad if we took him

How do i act like that lol. You said something we have done before was a pipe dream, i just simply showed that we did it before.

And we can do it again. Whats wrong with having space for 2 stars?

Yea you’re correct. I didn’t actually calculate it, nor was I factoring in the following season.

Also gotta add Tyler Johnson’s trade kicker in a well. So it’s probably even less than than what you outlined.

Yea, lets keep giving out 60 mil deals to role players LMAO

Only a fool would be against wanting cap flexibility, and the ability to sign multiple stars.

Read on Twitter

The Thunder are working on trade scenarios where Anthony, 34, would be moved as an expiring contract and be waived, becoming a free agent once his $27.9 million 2017-18 salary clears waivers.

Oklahoma City needs Anthony's permission to waive his no-trade clause, which he has done to facilitate his exit, league sources said.

Guess Miami is out of the question if he's getting waived, then.
