A really odd game by Miami but interesting and useful for the coaching staff.
- Basically everyone was shooting bad from the outside the stretch bigs(Olynyk and Leonard) and Dragic, also all 3 are vets.
- Butler was off as much as everyone but utilized his ability to get to the line to mitigate the bad shooting.
- Herro looked... shy, he definitely didn't take shots like he has and him not taking shots led to some worse shots by teammates.
- If Miami just hits their open jumpers this game would have at least been competitive, activity levels and alertness seems to drop when you keep watching teammates miss easy shots.
- Murray is a good player but goes out of his way to be a dick, I get talking trash, that's fine but there's no reason to just show up players on the court like he does, do it with your game.

It's just really hard to win a game(especially on the road) when most of your scorers can't hit open jumpers and the home team misses shots that just go nearly straight down to the PG who gets an easy score off it in such a short timespan.

Riley and Spo now have seen that Miami's young players can/are going to have pretty big swings in performance, but it's better to have this type of performance on the road against a team you shouldn't beat in their house then just to lose to a bad team.

One last thing, it's quite possible that Waiters off the bench may have helped greatly last night because of how bad the younger shooters were offensively, but this is what needs to be done to build the culture you want and in the long run it's probably for the best.
